The Marie trick demonstrates how Hank is actually the type of man that Walt claims to be. Hank's pride and self-worth are all wrapped up in this situation just like Walt's, but he immediately drops it all for Marie because he actually cares about family more than himself.

It’s kind of passed off as “yes, I am a nerd.“ But if you think about it, this poem really pertains to the story and Walt’s hubris. Walt is so enveloped in his own pride and ego that he can’t see past himself and into the meth, his chemistry and his craft, what he’s actually making.

Pretty obnoxious of Jesse to claim that the RV is equally his, when Walt put up 100% of the money to buy it, and and Jesse stole most of the money, to blow at a strip club. @@patrickcox8990Spoilers! In season 5 he drives a Volvo, not the same model as Gus did, but still counts. Also He comments on it, how unassuming cars like that help criminals to hide. Also just rewatch the scene where Lydia goes to the carwash and tries to get him back into the business. Walt handles it very similar to Gus, not breaking character and pretending to be just the owner/manager of the carwash. After he kills Mike he drinks whiskey with ice, before he preferred it without it and Mike drank it with ice. Also Mike says this to Walt once "learn to take yes for an answer". Later Walt says it to Lydia. Obviously he kills more during the show, but these 3 are very special. Krazy 8 being technically the second kill of his, but he had time to know him so in a way it became personal. He respected and feared Gus, it was hard to kill him, it was a challenge. Mike was also personal af, he respected him too. It's also clear he felt really bad about that one.

"take the tape off your windshield" Your condescending tone clearly indicates that you're unaware of the fact that you are supposed to leave the tape on for up to several days while the adhesive cures, so that its expansion doesn't push the new windshield out of place and/or create gaps that will let in moisture, which creates several problems besides wet interiors, most notably when the temperature drops below freezing. I'm sorry, but I just get annoyed when people proudly and confidently spout complete ignorance with the utmost condescension and incorrectly-assumed indignation. Yes, the tape looks bad, but if you take it off right after you get the car back (like in this case with Walt) because it looks bad, then you're the idiot... and the person driving around with the tape on is the smart one. EDIT: ...omfg, the best part is that you did the little mocking hand thing as you smartassily said the first quote with an air of authority... and then paused and followed it up with asking what it was there for! LMFAO!

This show is great, but one thing that takes me out of the story sometimes is the scenes in spanish. All the main characters that speak spanish are supposed to be from central or south america originally, so their mother tongue is supposed to be spanish, yet you can very clearly tell almost none of the actors who play those characters are native speakers, and the minority who are, are obviously not from the country they are supposed to be, given their accents (the actors who play Tuco's cousins for example do speak spanish, but they are clearly not from Mexico, and, ironically, they have almost no lines in the show compared to the other characters). Usually I wouldn't care about this stuff (it is very hard to get everything perfect on a show), but in this case it is very noticeable, and it happens in some crucial scenes of the show. The people who made the show obviously had in mind an american (meaning north american) audience, which is fair, and they clearly didn't worry too much about that (you can tell because not only the accents, but the syntax of the sentences is sometimes wrong). However it would have been nice if they double checked the syntax and spent a little more time teaching the actors how to speak properly, given that there aren't many scenes in spanish anyway.

I mean come on now lol. Hank definitely says some racist stuff. Gomez is cool with it but that doesn’t make it any less racist.

@@dauntejohnson5025 there is a difference between telling a racial joke and being racist. Do you think hank wouldn't take a bullet for gomez?

@@hmp01Racism isn’t a switch that’s on or off. Having a friend with a different skin tone doesn’t make you unable to be prejudiced about other cultures.

Let’s be real here tho. It’s easy to hate on Walt. He’s not the most likable and can let his pride and ego get the better of him. Yes he has a lot more depth to his character but I can see why they hate Walt. Completely understandable
