I find it hilarious and so smart that Saul is the only one still wearing the Wayfarer 515 crash pin, nearly a year after the accident at this point. He also has a book on aviation law on his desk. He's definitely representing multiple people impacted by the accident and personally profiting off of it lol

It's the little details like these that make Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul such elite tier shows. Nothing would have changed story wise without the Wayfarer pin or the aviation law books on his desk. But the writers thought to put it and it just adds so much unsaid character to Saul. @@Woeboez - I guarantee bad things would have happened, Jesse or no Jesse lol...and the premise was that Walt's insertion into the drug scene in Albuquerque set off a chain of events in which he was a significant player. Using your two examples, the main reason Walter ousted Gale was Hank, not Jesse. He didn't make Jesse a partner to help Jesse, he did it to help Hank. And the only reason Jesse tried to kill the dealers that night with a gun is because Walter ratted to Gus about Jesse wanting to kill the dealers by putting ricin in their food. Had Walt just let Jesse poison the two dealers nobody would have known. Instead, he thought about having Jesse arrested and put in jail, then decided to tell Gus. Had he remained quiet the two dealers would have died like a day later, Andrea's brother would still be alive--so no reason for Walt to later run the dealers over with his car, nobody would have suspected Jesse in their deaths except Walt, and Gus would have simply replaced the two dealers with two other guys lol.
@Woeboez7 ай бұрын
@@endorphinzz I didn't say he did it to help Jesse per se, but it was because of Jesse. And I completely disagree with your second point. Gus would obviously suspect Jesse of killing them. Walt knew this. It was far too risky for Jesse to do and Walt rightfully put a stop to it to protect Jesse from getting killed. Clearly Walt messed up plenty in the show, and his ego is the only reason any of it even started, but it's not quite accurate to blame everything on him imo.

I can't stand Walt. Even up until this point he has done some really horrible things. He poisoned Brock, he let Jane die. Heck in the first episode he blackmailed Jesse into this. In my eyes Walt has been pretty scummy up until this point. Yes at times he shows humanity, but if I'm going to support a bad guy it will probably more likely be someone like Mike. A person who is bad for sure but has a code. Also, Jesse who isn't really bad but is basically a young guy who got mixed up with the wrong crowd and exploited. Still he often tries to do the right thing in bad circumstances.
