BIRD'S EYE VIEW: we look straight down on Walt as he tumbles into frame, lying flat on his back on the floor. His eyes stare up at us, lifeless. And yet, his final expression is one of faint satisfaction. We slowly CRANE UP, UP and AWAY from him. Walt shrinks smaller and smaller in frame. POLICE OFFICERS approach him now -- four, six, eight of them. They move in cautiously, their guns aimed. They're too late. He got away. "Guess I got what I deserved" - an absolutely perfect ending for this character. He was such an evil shit that he HAD to die. But he went out with whatever was left of that highschool teacher & devoted father. Tried his best to fix the damage he did to his family, made sure Jesse got out. Ugh, the character arc is so delicious...I just can't get enough of Walter White. I get it. There are weirdos out there that like idolize Heisenberg. I don't understand it. But I do understand the popularity of the character. For most of us, it's just an amazing ride to get on and we enjoy seeing just how Bad we can Break. For me, I'm out at Jane. I can justify everything up to that point as self-defense/preservation. Still, I imagine some of those things would be a hit on the soul. But I feel like Jane is the point of no return. Can either turn back & keep your soul but will have to deal with the blackmail bullshit. Or you can pretty much kiss your soul goodbye.

You can root for an evil bastard. The Joker is cool despite being terrible. And so is Walter White. You can acknowledge that he is terrible while also hoping that he takes his ass out of the line of fire one last time with his intelligence and audacity. Anyone who actually likes him, not just the character and the way he develops, is an idiot. Sure, at first he's that spunky underdog who rebels against his domineering wife and aweful boss, but that slips very quickly and all that's left should be interest in how he'S coming out on top or how far anyone else is supporting him. After all, he is channeling the same thing whether he threatens Tuco or threatens his wife, he just does it against innocent people now. It's a measure of degree. That's the point. The difference of a nasty teacher (or even a good teacher) and a drug lord is a bunch of bad decisions.

@Mcnutty924Сағат бұрын
@jimmygreer2140 No, there's not. Do you wanna know why? Because this is all fake. Walter isn't real. The people he's killed aren't real. Because all this is fake, it allows people to root for evil characters. You're just upset that people think of the character differently than you so you try and act like they're morally corrupt.

There were three instances of Walt obtaining a set of keys from a place above himself, each time preceding him killing a character. - The key to the bike lock trapping Krazy-8 is kept on top of a cabinet. Krazy-8 dies shortly after. - The key to Mike's to-go bag is kept on top of a beam in the airport parking lot. Mike dies shortly after. - The key(under the visor) to the car Walt steals in the beginning. Walt dies later. Only this time, instead of reaching for the key, he makes it fall into his hand, controlling his fate. Also, in the final shot as the camera moves up, there's a blue strip of floor near Walt, and it could represent a finish line. Whether Walt crossed, or just missed it, is up for us to decide.
@TheRepublican777Сағат бұрын

this is a horrendous read my dude, lol. If not for that kind of toxic ego he could've spared his family a tremendous amount of pain and literally Hank dying??? And it goes all the way back to Grey Matter, plus refusing the cancer money. He could've been there for his family plenty of times, and the whole point of the finale is he acknowledges he did all of this for him. This entire series can be summed up by a single conflict between Walter White, the caring and loving husband and father, and Heisenberg, the callous amoral drug dealer and murderer. Finally, in this episode, we see the merging of both entities into a single purpose: the salvation of his family and loved ones and the destruction of the people who threatened them. Heisenberg is still there, but now he's on a leash. There's a reason Vince Gilligan et al. deserve every single accolade accorded them.

So seing that Walt actually did that for him Jesse didn't want to be the one who killed him he didn't want to do what Walt says anymore and he didn't want another kill on him of Walts orders and someone he knows all to well, Jesse didn't want Walt's kill to be on him.

I think the biggest takeaways from the final episodes is that Walt really did value his family more than anything else. But his huge ego/need for validation made him reckless and they all ended up paying the price Edit: Yes, the finale made it clear that Walter did this all mostly for his ego. But that doesn't mean that he valued his ego more than his family - he knew that there was a possibility that his family would get hurt, but he didn't actually think it would happen, especially after he had killed Gus. When the choice came between Hank's life and all the money he had made, he was willing to give up the money with no hesitation. That was the point that established the heirachy of Walt's values.

The Stevia packet has been a subject of much debate. I tend to think he pre made one and brought that one of his own and swapped it. I doubt he did the ricin transfer in the cafe, but who knows. Seems like it would require precision that you'd need a private space to do and time so it wouldn't be noticeable. Also, the show did a great job at making you hate Walt by the end, but making Jack and crew so unlikable that you still root for Walt even though he's awful. A low key underrated moment is when they show Jesse in a better moment for a second before it cuts back to him in the meth lab. Better Call Saul is very good, but I think it starts off well behind Breaking Bad, but gradually gets better and better and by the end is amazing like peak Breaking Bad. But coming off the high of peak Breaking Bad, don't be discouraged if early Better Call Saul episodes don't match it. For me, it took a little time to get going.

I loved that reaction! After you watch The Haunting of Hill House, you should watch Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I love that show so much! And I think you will too.

The grey matter couple was evil, hank and marie were azzhles, and walt only started cooking because he didn't want his cancer to bankrupt his family. Sure, walt became a monster. But i have no sympathy for any other character besides jesse.

Walter was the a-hole his entire relationship with the Grey Matter couple, he was the one who left and sold his share after he found out Gretchen came from money. Walt also initiated their breakup while they were both about to get married. The show literally spells it out during "Peekaboo."

in a few ways,. Better Call Saul is an even better show than this. Crazy to think they nailed it the first time around then managed to make a second show arguably even better. enjoy the ride
