Actually.....there was a writer's strike at the end of season 1 and so it was cut short at this point. When season 2 begins.....a couple of episodes in, you'll pick up on it. All will be right with the Breaking Bad universe.

I still think this is one of the best shows ever made. I’m actually glad I wasn’t watching it when it was originally on tv, because I would’ve hated waiting between episodes and seasons. When I did finally start watching it, I binged until I’d seen every one. Each season just gets better and better. 🙂

Same. I know I would have been tormented waiting week to week because after season 3 I had to wait just a few months to finish because I either rented the first three seasons from family video then someone hadn't returned season 4 and I then finished it on Netflix or vice versa, except my Netflix bill wasn't paid after season 3. I can't remember which order and I've only had Netflix one time and only for a month. And it was because either this show or Spartacus. One of these shows I rented and then a season was not returned so I did free trials of Netflix and one other streaming platform because I just remember they weren't both on one platform.

Here in ABQ, we even have a donut in honor of Breaking Bad... its made at one of the local shops and called "Blue Sky"... it has blue rock candy on top. The cast of the show have all gone into that donut shop, had their pictures take with the donut, hanging on the wall.

It’s amazing how the first season ended, especially when knowing the initial plan was for 9 episodes to be made for the first season only for the writers strike to happen which made them only able to have 7 episodes and change certain plot points to what we know know season 1 to be. Biggest change is Jesse is alive at the end of the season. Originally Vince Gilligan had it where Jesse would have served his purpose in getting Walt into the drug world and after that happens he’s killed off at which point Walt would then go about avenging Jesse. Due to Aaron Paul’s performance as well as the writers strike they didn’t go through with it and I think the series is better for keeping Jesse as a series regular rather than being important only in the first season. It’s cool to see how Jesse and Walt change over the course of the series. Great reactions guys, take care!

I always forget that Ep 7 was the Season 1 finale. They built so many characters and story threads in only 7 eps. Amazing. Walter is shown first hand the brutality of the drug business, and the instability of the guy he just partnered with. Great finale. And that's not to mention the writer's strike. I wonder how different it might have been.

Vince has said on multiple occasions, that if it wasn't for the Writer's Strike, they would've already killed Jesse off (which was initially why his character was made...to get Walt into the game - then his death would be the spark to cause Heisenburg to go off). The strike gave them time to reevaluate and realize that Aaron's acting was good enough to keep him for a few more episode's; then, they just went from there

At five minutes, Walter is on such a high for what he has accomplished, and the fact that he has gotten away with it…he’s sitting in this school board meeting as this mystery is being discussed, he’s hidden in plain sight… and he’s totally feeling himself and is aroused by it all… which is why he’s feeling up on Skylar.

Two Fascinating Trivia Facts: 1) Season One of Breaking Bad was only 7 episodes because of the Hollywood Screen Writer's Strike and AMC Network almost didn't renew the series for Season Two. 2) Series Creator Vince Gilligan originally intended to kill off Jesse Pinkman (Actor Aaron Paul) in Season One but Pinkman had such tremendous "Chemistry" with Walter White (Actor Bryan Cranston) that Gilligan rethought that and kept Jesse alive in the series!

Fun fact: Vince Gilligan used a page from Jaws to mark developments in the feature. When ever you see the collor Yellow in Jaws a death is coming . In Breaking Bad everytime Walt wears a green shirt his character develops even further.

Marie is like a lighter version of Walter. He kind of uses her as a test to Skylar on how she would react if a person does wrong but it's for the "greater good". When Skylar says it's still wrong, you notice Walter's face(kudos to Bryan Cranston's amazing performance) that he looks down as if he now knows he cant tell Skylar about his new hobby.

I knew the dad from Malcolm in the middle was in it and I thought this show was a comedy I just didn't see it, but that first episode I saw I was like nah this is a drama/dark comedy and I love it.
