IM SO HAPPY TO HEAR ANNA GUNNS VOICE AND OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS!!! just this last year I got really into BB and I didn't know why I couldn't find anything with Anna. after learning how evil people were to her breaks my heart... she's my favorite character and I find her to be one of - if not the best actor in the show. love her.

I don't think anyone hates Anna Gunn. They hate Skylar because she everyone is supporting Walter so they are bound to hate her character. Everyone agrees Anna is a fantastic actress. The scene where Skylar and Walter fight in the end just shows how much of a powerful actress she is.

Skylar is my least favorite character in the show, but that doesn't mean the actress should be harassed. No one hates women in fiction, stop playing victim. People hate certain women in fiction and you choose to take that to mean all of them.

They fumbled the Skyler character. Their attempt to try and make her likable was to have her come in as Walt's money launderer. And that did well to frame her as competent, but it didn't make her very likable. Walt himself doesn't seem to care for Skyler as a person or a partner, she's just the "family" he wants to keep together, and mostly he's interested in the kids. Does anyone get the sense that if he met her in his 50s he'd want to marry her again? Hell, would she want to marry him? Compare and contrast that with Jesse and Jane or Hank and Marie. We got a lot more info on who those characters are as individuals and why they hooked up together.

I hear frequent moments on the commentary where A) the preponderance of his comments are shallow/crass in nature, B) he exhibits poor commentary decorum, and C) the other actors seem annoyed with Dean, beyond the just specific moment in question, indicating (to me at least,) their wholesale frustration with the actor. I've been wrong before. Could be mountains out of molehills, but I really don't think I'm misreading things here.

@@angeloalexandre8949 tbh most shows that do any commentary at all, they only do them on part of the run. It takes a lot of time to put that stuff together, including actor scheduling for it. I just consider myself lucky for the series I watch that have most if not all of their episodes with a commentary (Community, for instance, every episode of the series has one)
