I think Ben's voice is cool. VERY different, but cool. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just unusual. He has a lot of quirks and strange little inflections when he sings but I think that makes his voice more personable and endearing. Some people say he sounds like a sheep, and I agree - but what's wrong with that?! Ben is a good singer, but as many people know, he does have health problems that often affect his singing, but not always in a negative way. He's perfectly fine the way he is.

He's a rocker, rockers don't normally sing in tune, they sing in a different style! (Which doesn't have to be in "tune" like you would need in a choir or something.) We love them because there is a different type of tune in their voice; there is so much emotion in his voice, that's what makes it beautiful, the emotion!!!

You where disappointed in his live performance? I went to see them back in Sep, and I was honestly very impressed, in fact, I think he sounded better that night than on the album... But that could have been just that night, but I've seen a lot of live performances on here, and was impressed. This video, not his best, but I wouldn't call it horrible.

I mean someone screaming isn't exactly a classical thing lol, so people I think put to much emphasis on this singing perfectly in tune, when their also trying to put that ruggedness and emotion in their voice, And scream. But u r right, they obviously sing in a pitch, or it wouldn't blend in with the instrumental.

Actually that's not true,great rock singers have sang in tune: Chris Cornell,Freddie Mercury,Maynard James Keenan and many more, etc.Saying rock singers don't sing in tune is just flat out wrong! If a song is in the key of "D" and the vocalist sings a D triad minor run, then yes there is a key to follow.Why do u think they put harmony vocals on rock records,so they can sing harmony over the key of the melody, as in 3rds & 5ths.Saying rock singers don't sing in tune, makes absolutely 0 sense

I hung out with these cats in Dallas the night before, and Chad didn't use a click, he just used some earmuffs. XD Ben wasn't feeling good, so that's why he sounds a little crappy, and Aaron looks better with white/blonde hair. ^.^

Yeah it isn't classically trained type vocal per se,but you're right if the singer doesn't sing in pitch or "key" then the vocal would not match the music.I guess my overall point was I've seen a lot of Ben's vocals live, and I was really dissapointed,people wanted to take it way to personal, but you know how that goes.

Great song, but this is about the 4th song I've heard from them (live),and their singer (Ben Hurley I think??) really struggles,you can tell he's really aided by studio tricks, and pro tools. I could understand sounding shaky once in a while, but I've yet to hear one live performance where the vocal wasn't pitchy,and almost weak sounding.

I've had this discussion before.
