I realize the lighting on ben was pretty low, so it didn't look the same as the others - but it sure did seem like they sung about as much lead as ben. They did do a good job of sounding like him, though. Thanks for post, i enjoyed it, haven't seen them in a while.

I feel like the quality of their shows has dropped a little. I still have tickets for 3 shows this upcoming summer since I love them so much but idk I feel like they could mix it up a bit more with the setlist. The concert is pretty lame when you compare to other similar bands.

I'll preface this by saying I've seen BB live before and they were awesome, and they still sounded pretty good here...... but I was at the show in Worcester on the 29th.... the energy was incredibly low and half the crowd ended up leaving.... Ben didn't even interact with crowd until halfway through the set, didn't say a single word (unlike here, where he was talking with the crowd during the literal first song).... the entire band also just stood in their spotlights, and there was no light on Ben, who just stood there in complete darkness... couldn't even see him (to the point I was wondering if it was really him up there) They also didn't explain the people being on-stage in little boxed either.... they were just kinda there, no explanation at all... it was weird lol One more thought since I see the same thing here.... there were a few songs that he pretty much didn't even sing... the rest of the band sang them (Sooner or Later, and a few others)

I’ve seen BB live three times, most recently in Sept 2022. I have tickets to go for my 4th show to the same venue on 7/20. My immediate thought was that this isn’t Ben. This is THE most mellow BB show I’ve seen. Even the intimacy among the band members is…different. Been a fan for 21 years, the energy looks off onstage and something doesn’t seem quite right. Why didn’t they show a closer view via video on the giant screen like they always do and other bands do as well. Ben keeps doing something on a cell phone during songs. It doesn’t seem like Ben or sound like his vocals. And no spotlight on him, save for a brief moment around 44:00. It has all caught my eye and I’ll be curious to see how other videos of the show compare as the tour goes along. He usually interacts with the audience too, and sometimes gets down in the pit with the fans. He interacts with the fan club members who paid hundreds of dollars to stand there. Does anyone else notice this? 😮 His vocals on Until The End and his hand gestures are not what I’m used to seeing from him.

Ben suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome and also has permanent neurological damage due to heavy drinking (alcoholism), which he is now sober, but the damage caused Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. WKS 3 main symptoms are the inability to coordinate voluntarily movements (playing guitar, walking, jumping on stage), eye abnormalities, and confusion. It also causes memory gaps, difficult learning new information and recalling long term memories, along with many other neurological and behavioral issues. The Breaking Benjamin album cover for 2009 Dear Agony is Ben’s actual MRI brain scan where the found the damage. A lot of those songs coincide with his struggles with that at the time. He is now seeking treatment for his illnesses, but there is no cure, it is progressive. I think the fact he still tours and gets up there despite what he is going through is amazing. That is probably the reason for him not playing as much guitar, having help with vocals and being as physical. I saw them last May and get to see them this Friday and I am so excited! I have been seeing them live for 20+ yrs now and they have always been so good, but I am sure Ben does have off nights, but instead of canceling he pushes through. 🤘🎶🤘🎶🫶🫶🫶

They did sound good but everything was so loud the vocals were drowned out bad. Still a great show just was a weird vibe. Bush totally kicked ass and Gavin Rossdale put on a show

It's sad, Ben is actually quite sick. I think he should hang it up but he obviously can't because music is his livelihood. He is obviously in a tough place and is actually quite lucky he built a strong name for himself and his band before things went south. The early 2000s was the time to see them. Ben was incredible, and it's seriously sad to see what destruction alcohol has done to him and his musical gift. I just don't see this band lasting another 5 years at this rate, he cannot perform nearly as well and probably has difficulty producing new music. But at least he made money and had a really great career for himself. My heart goes out to him and his family and I hope he pulls through.

@@Mataylor17 me either! I have 2 chronic illnesses at 38 yrs old and I know I couldn’t tour and go on stage and rock out. I say them the year before as well and his health was so bad he didn’t even play guitar but for 2 songs. Seeing them this year, he played a lot more guitar, but was a lot less crowd involved. I would imagine he can only put so much energy into certain things. Aaron has been co-writing and doing back up for as long as I can remember, until he left for a bit, I’m glad he is back. Kieth’s stuff he does on his own as a solo artist is amazing as well! I still love BB, he just needs a little grace 🥹

It's a common practice, they do this so that the songs feel more clean and heavy to the crowd.
