Chanel Oberlin Screaming has little to do with your throat. If you scream properly, whether it be fry or false-chord, all the throat does is relax. All singers and screamers are supposed to have their vocals come from the diaphragm, not their throat so they don't damage it. And I would hardly call Benjamin's screams "screamo" btw. But it's a misconception that screams damage your voice and throat. Look at Chester Bennington. (RIP) He could still scream all the way up until the end.
