SOTN is one of the greatest games ever made. There’s just so much to do. And the whole upside down castle thing is genius! I was really impressed by it as a kid.

And then, years later, Dracula X Chronicles was released for PSP, and the English-speaking fandom realized what the Japanese players of Rondo had known all along: the question was never "How did Maria get here?" but rather "Why is she bothering letting Alucard do the work?" (Answer: Probably to make the cute dhampir boy feel good about himself before she asks him out.)

Honestly, Souls does feel reminiscent of the Castlevania X Zelda in a lot of ways.

Vampire Killer for the MSX2 was nonlinear in design (though it still had a level structure). People tend to forget this entry but it shows that Castlevania was experimenting with nonlinear gameplay before Castlevania 2.

I honestly didn't realize that. I guess technically Metroid was still first (released a couple months earlier), but that would mean Vampire Killer was likely already in development.

Did you ever get to play Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn? IMO a criminally underappreciated game from developer Treasure, who made some of my favorite games of all time.

I wish there will be a great reunion between the earliest generations of Souls youtubers back in 2012 to 2015, from Epicnamebro, A German Spy, Silvermont, Terramantis, mrIwont4get, Sunlightblade, you and many more It's just unfortunate that so many things happened, including of the pursuit of careers to actually lost of poor Souls during this Pandemic throughout the span of 2017 onwards which severs a lot of the old connections surrounding it and the conclusion of The Ringed City to the entire Soulsborne saga I hope you'll cover Elden Ring in details and never stop being funny just like in your Supershows, such macabre humour of yours has a lot of potential if you meet Caddicarus, Somecallmejohnny and similar youtubers and their subs if you're considering to have more exposures too
