When you make over $250,000 the Tax in Ontario is 53.6%. The top tax bracket in all of USA is 37% in California. It makes me sad, we have missed on sooo many top talents and our country is gorgeous.

As an Orioles fan it feels like betrayal. Because Mike Elias and David Rubenstein said that they want to make sure that an early playoff exit will not happen again after the last 2 years. And Rubenstein is giving the green light and Mike is just completely ignoring it and missing out on these star players and although we have made moves they have all been basically downgrades from what we had last year. But I was also seeing that the orioles had reportedly offered a contract similar to the contract that Burnes signed with Arizona. As a jays fan the offseason has been completely unacceptable and if Gimenez is all we get, we need a new GM asap. Furthermore, to have a decent offseason with knowing who they missed out on they basically need to sign everyone. Santander, Profar, Sasaki, you name it, there are just too many holes in the roster, and Vladdy needs to be extended for life

I bleed Dodger Blue, thanks to Vin Scully and growing up in 1960s LA. Last year many of our jealousy drivers were injured, haters forget. You just don't know due to humans playing this crazy game. I'm a Blue Jay fan, here's the thing the Blue Jays factor in the tax issue by giving more money to compensate that difference...I think the star players who are older want to try to win the world series and our team has been flawed since the new regime came into the 2016 season, Ross did not and has not have the experience in judging players. I like the valuation system in place is the right way of thinking as you have to do what is right for the ownership/business side of the game. I think that Vlad's contract should be 300 mil. anything more than that doesn't make a good roi and restricts the team overall. We had no problem before bringing in guys before this regime. We've had big names on our team before...Rickey Henderson, Dave Winfield, David Cone and some of our own talents; Roy Halladay, Dave Stieb, Jimmy Key, Jesse Barfield, and John Olerud to name a few.

The reason no one talks about other teams doing deferrals is because the other teams do it here and there vs the dodgers doing it on every single player which the only reasonable explanation is they can’t afford it or gonna sell the team before they have to pay ohtanis 680

They can afford it. They are doing it to reduce the luxury tax they have to pay out. That money that is deferred is being put into an escrow account with interest. They can reinvest a portion of that money to make more money. It's just smart business. Why give away money to cheap owners when you can use it to benefit your own team. Every other team can do this.
