Actually some women do eat the placenta after birth. I know someone who posted a pic of their placenta as a milkshake on Facebook and some people mske them into pills. It is totally wierd and kinda gross but not totally out of the ordinary

Josrutube I know that women eat placentas, what I was saying is that in the movie Edward didn't eat Bella's placenta, he was just breaking open the amniotic sac with his teeth. My sister-in-law had my brother put her first placenta into capsules so she could consume it. It's very nutritious. If I ever have kids I'll probs eat my placentas somehow.

Just in case anyone cares (and I expect most won't), Edward doesn't eat the baby's placenta, he has to use his teeth to rip through Bella's amniotic sac (where the baby is being carried) as it is as durable as a vampire's skin. That is also why Carlisle was unable to do an ultrasound on the baby, as they didn't have anything that could penetrate the sac itself to see inside as one would with human pregnancies. The more you know (the less you care).

Ok so this is NOT criticism of your video, I love it - it's really awesome. However, I have read the books (and seen some of the movies) so I feel it is my duty to explain the confusion about Edward and the birth scene. In the book it's explained really well! SPOILERS So the baby is half vampire, half human, and you find out later in the book that there's been something like this before, but the host mother ALWAYS dies... because the baby bites its way through the womb. So Edward was biting open her womb as cleanly as possible so Renesmee wouldn't rip Bella to shreds. Just thought you might like to know!
