breaking down 3 editing techniques from shaun of the dead

Shaun of the Dead is a great film written and directed by Edgar Wright (co-written by Simon Pegg) and has loads of cool techniques and concepts that we can dive into and explore to learn more about both film making and editing! For this video though, we'll be talking about 3 in particular:
Slow Zooms - and the cinematographical (is that a word?) reasons behind why we'd use one over something like a Push-In.
Quick Cut Segments (Montages) - and how Edgar manages to make them satisfying to watch as well as the tricks used to make it clear to the viewer what's going on despite how fast it is.
Whip Pans - which is almost a signature move of Edgar it seems. We'll talk about the differences between in-camera whip pans and in-edit whip pans, why you'd choose one over the other, and also show you how to create a realistic whip pan in After Effects !
