First of all, absolutely outstanding content as always. Now, I wanted to ask you (pretty much as a begginner) about head positioning when dribbling and feinting. I see a lot of people talk about the shoulders, the hips, and some even the arms, but I don't recall hearing about what you should do with your head when trying to misdirect the opponent. Is the head just a tool to take in information? Should you just look at the ball, the defender and surrounding players, or is it effective (and efficient) to look to the space you're using as bait before bursting the other way? If so, how long should I look and how often? I've personally found it useful when trying to turn with the opponent pressing me on my back, but I don't know if it's useful in general dribbling.
@chasingmypotential7 ай бұрын
Great question!! When receiving the ball it’s so important to use your head for bait. Also when dribbling mainly its an information tool, but you could look up to use your teammate as bait, use a fake pass to him and go the opposite way, making the defender go to block of the passing lane. I like your thinking and how in depth you’re thinking about it. A lot of people would say you’re over complicating it just dribble, but to simplify something, you have to ask every possible question about it and then find the truth. That’s only how you can simplify anything, keep up the good work !

@@chasingmypotential Thanks for the answer! I kind of have no other way of learning these things, I'm 22 and I basically hadn't touched a football in my life until last year, so learning instinctively in my situation is challenging. It more about your planted foot. Focus on always placing it close to the ball, if you touch the ball into space don’t think about the contact foot, first set your standing foot right
