@@chaddubois8164 He probably had ideas about how to boost their ticket sales, the Sens rank dead last in attendance. Now, there's a couple factors there; the arena is too far out of the way for some fans, and the team's poor performance the last couple of seasons isn't exactly a big fan attraction either. And the constant public relations nightmare that surrounds the team isn't helping either. But Jim Little might've been a 'shining light' that could've come up with some good planning to help the organization. But unfortunately he got caught in Eugene's crosshairs and paid the price. Sad, really.

Such a strange dichotomy in NY. The Rangers have been run pretty well over the past 14 years or so. They have achieved great success on, and off the ice, including 3 Conference Finals, and a Stanley Cup Final. Conversely, The Knicks, with the same owner as The Rangers have been a never ending trash fire, fueled by old truck tires. Head scratching.

Melnyk stated many years ago that the Sens are not going to be a spend to the cap team... it's pretty easy to analyze. He doesn't care if this team ever wins anything..... it's his toy and he is going to play with it however he wants. Owners like this need to be driven out of the league. Any owner who openly states that he doesn't care if his team is ever competitive is bad for the NHL and should be stripped of their team immediately.

This sounds like it could go either way, but with Melnyk's reputation I imagine he was so hard to work with that Little had enough and let his temper flair. Eugene should have sold the team last year, but if he's going to keep carrying on he has to learn how to keep his inflated head out of the clouds and back to earth and work sensibly with others and control his ridiculous personality.

There is absolutely no respect and credibility in the Ottawa Senators organization, and I thought that ship sailed after last season. And it obviously all starts with Eugene Melnyk. Just because he is the owner he thinks he can do whatever he wants. While that is somewhat true, look at what the team has become the last three seasons. They have been a bottom three team every year, you essentially forced out Erik Karlsson because you didn't respect his value, the Uber video happened, Guy Boucher was fired a matter of days after it was said he will coach the team the rest of the season, and while I do understand the arena is not centrally located, when you have a two-thirds full arena in a Canadian market, you have to realize that your organization is not doing many things correctly, and that all starts with Melnyk. He needs to be open to suggestions, because his approach the last few seasons has CLEARLY not been working.
