You got me started in lacrosse. As a small kid i was allways interested in the sport but never played. 3 years ago I found you and got a stick. I practiced a little bit, then i got hooked. I practiced 4 hours a day in the summer and quickly improved. I got a net and that was when i really got good. I took about 250 shots a day for another summer. This year i started playing after 3 years of practice. My season got cut short but my coach clocked me at 82 mphs. Thank you for what you do and keep doing it

TBH, this might be the best video you've ever done. This type of breakdown is what EVERY player, from youth to college, needs to see. WE WANT MORE!

Huge help for players. Teaching IQ is something that doesn’t happen enough for youth players. This is amazing please post more
@stevenmparish4 жыл бұрын
10 minutes into this and I have learned a 100 times more than the basic movements we ran on my varsity team in the 90s. The game has evolved. I have been pulling from resources all over to help my son's 2nd-grade team. Obviously, most of this is beyond their level, but to be able to show that there is so much a mental aspect of the game will help them in decisions for situations that come up during gameplay. Paul, you're elite even among the best. When lacrosse is finally in the Olympics I hope to see you playing. If not, the USA couldn't have a better coach. God bless you. Thank you for growing the game.

This is very helpful. And a great idea since most of us is stuck in our residences. Please extend this video, and give us more examples, because IQ is such an important part of the game, and this seems to be the only resource for those trying to better it. I think this series is going to be a hit, and I will make sure to show it to my teammates.

European Lacrosse Championships not running this year but Coach Rabil is keeping it lit! Thanks, I could listen to these everyday.
@eigobike39294 жыл бұрын
This is such an excellent video. So instinctual when you feel pressed. You said it plainly - “when doubled look for the quickest [sure] pass”. The domino effect is pass, pass, shot. I would add the same goes for unsettled ground ball scenarios particularly in lower leagues where guys get out of position in scrum like circumstances. It is great to pick up a ground ball. But the faster the ball scooper picks up his head and looks to push the ball into the box and then the first guy in the box turns and either has a path to a shot or a quick few steps to draw and dump the better. Always keeping ball tempo with eyes up to create 3 v 2 and 2 v 1 triangles is so elemental to breaking down defenders.

Keep putting these videos out with very in depth looks not just at the offense but what the defense do to effect your read.

Paul, this is worth its weight in gold. Thank you for providing this. As a fan, it's been awesome to see the growth within your game over the years, especially with off-ball play between you & Pannell and your ability to feed. Looking forward to more of that this upcoming season. Go Bulls!

This was great. You should start a series like this with different players talking different positions and breaking down different aspects of the game. And I’m REALLY REALLY asking for the Big Rig, Scotty Rodgers to do one of this for goalies. That would be AMAZING

This was brilliantly executed more videos like this plz. In the next video could you go in to more depth about what squaring up your shoulders does for a successful dodge. You are literally the reason I still play this awesome sport.

Very cool! You don't get this type of analysis from other pro sports. It's usually generic stuff. This is very detail-oriented. The little details separate the merely good from the elite.

#2 was snoozing on his crease man up high, it was the good old “cut behind when your off ball defender takes his eye off you” and the ball keeps rotating towards X to give you the 180 cut towards the pipe down the lane from above.

This was great and I really like how you broke everything down. But something I would suggest, is that you let the play go through at normal speed just so we can see the whole play. And so we get a solid reference as to how fast y’all are making these decisions.
