Mike basically has what Jimbo had his last few years. Guys that simply arent living up to the hype, and are the guys that you were supposed to be depending on. Well, you dont have a lot of choices---you have to cut the cancer out, or lose the body. Whatever form that takes---you have to find your winners, and go with them, and let the others know---play time is over. Get on the train, or get out of my locker room. It is a tough place to be, when several starters on defense may fall into that category. Offense looks like he needs to go with his young guys, and sit the overvalued, underperforming portal guys -- QB, WR, RB.

Theres nothing and somehow everything to break down. We are getting absolutely mauled at the point of attack. Our RB's cant break a tackle to save their life. Our WR can run a good route. Our TE cant catch. DJ is inaccurate. Our D line cant shed a block to save their life. Our LB cant fill a hole to save their life. Our LB cant guard man to man to save their life. We just look weak and unprepared. There appears to be no leaders. Seems like our off season was absolutely horrible...I of course question the coaching but its impossible to tell if they are calling the right plays and the execution is off or if its both. We have to steal Oregon States playbook becasue it worked pretty well for them or at least decent enough. DJ has to run more power plays. And back to our D line. Farmer and Payton, they way they went into the portal and then backed out and then decide to play like this?! Just leave man.

The fact is the offense hasn't looked great since North Alabama last year. Jordan being able to escape pressure and not turn the ball over was so crucial to being able to win games.

Remember Mel Tucker took a transfer portal team at Michigan State in 2021 and went 11-2, then the next season the wheels came off and we start to see what Michigan State was really about…..I think that might be the same with FSU. 13-0 last season with a transfer portal team now 0-2. Maybe last season was a fluke. One hit wonder?

From watching part of this and the last episode I think we play too much man coverage. We constantly get manipulated by TE’s and H-Backs into playing with a light box. Then teams just run gap scheme plays behind it and gash us

Zone hasn't been entirely successful either. LBs and DBs aren't on the same page. I think aside from FSU supposedly having the better athletes, man coverage provides more straightforward assignments, in general. Either way several break downs on a given play and execution is simply not there for the defense as a unit.

It just seems like we are lacking in basic competence. I don't think there is a single FBS team that looked worse this weekend. How is this possible? If things don't improve a lot I'd be in favor of firing every coach on staff except Norvell. Losing is one thing. Making Boston College look like Ohio State is something else.

Mike should call this year a rebuild and player development year. Apologize to the fans and tell them to expect 8 or 9 losses. Play the long game to see what I’ve got for the future by benching all seniors or transfers not performing. Use DJU only on short yardage plays and fire Atkins and Fuller as soon as the season is over to show he’s serious. If he doesn’t, then give him his walking papers.

1:11:13 Literally the same formation and play, back to back. That's what my coach would do in high school. Line up in full house, 2 tight ends, run counter, and if successful, call the same exact play 5+ times in a row until they stop it. Sure, that's fine against teams you're clearly better than. But we aren't clearly better than BC. In fact, we were clearly worse, including worse coached.

Morlock shouldn't be out there for pass plays unless he's blocking. Let's be honest the guy is slow and can't catch that well. I rather see the true freshman 5 star Laden Thomas out there like we saw in the 4th quarter. At least he might catch the ball more often and has much better speed to get open.

DL hasn't been above average, but I think it is clear the issue is the LB room. 28 looks good though. He's playing fast and decisive. 18 doesn't look like he wants to move, and 10 is just unathletic. What was Washington's PFF grade? Dude looks like a Taggart player, no way NFL player.

On offense this team isn't build for Mike Norvells playbook or like his teams of the past. The team was always physical at the WR position and in the run game on the OL part. Its a whole bunch of finesse guys on offense with good pass blockers. The problems is the offense isnt built to create space for these shifty/speed guys. Even the running backs...only bruiser is Davis. On Defense its mostly guys not playing with confidence and the DL getting oblierated at the line of scrimmage. And i dont think the team has a leader and/or group of leaders. My hot take is Safety is the worse position on this whole team. Theyve been the worse tacklers, communicators, and they do not come down hill. A lot of the bad play by the linebackers can be covered up if the Safetys get ball vs letting things come to them

I thought I was going crazy. Every video has been criticizing every position except line backer, and it was 100% the most blaring issue I saw on defense. They're out of position on every run play & never meet the back in the hole. Its why we see these constant 5 yard runs every play.

One thing I would add to that---imo, Mike whiffed on the evals of this portal class---big time, for whatever reason. He has guys on defense looking to NIL and NFL draft status, vs. leading the defense. He needs to find his DOGS on the team. He needs to give them the PT, and sit the rest---send a message. I dont see any other way. Yes, the staff should be insisting on solid, fundamental football ---any HS coach could see---as Kev mentioned. I would start sitting guys, and go back to basics in practice. Otherwise, he loses his locker room and his good youngsters.

The 4th and 6 to start the second half, you have to punt there if your are Norvell! That's basic football knowledge. Defense hasn't given much to trust but you have give yourself a shot to get a quick 3 and out and keep it at one score.

I don't think ive heard a name more consistently in a negative in a film review than Cam Riley in this video. And its justified. Its almost every play. So the one play he ran qb out of bounds down 14-3 in the 3rd doesn't forgive it. And you guys know ive always been scared about Jackson. We got get blown out 45-3 by fsu in 2022 Darrel Jackson

Agree on Shannon. Fuller is elite at pass defense but run D is a big problem - I'd be ok keeping him. Atkins I like but u might have a point

this is just my take, and probably not a common one, but FSU came into the season with the revenge tour energy and swagger and slapped Ga Tech right off in ireland like a boss and then went for two on the first drive which ive never even heard of anyone doing. you can argue they did that cuz they thought theyd need that point later (haha) but to me it was pure swagger and displaying the intent to run all over us, humiliate us on the world stage, and hang 50 on the Jackets. when none of this happened and you couldnt stop a nosebleed, the Noles discovered they werent a team, but a collection of talent. they were broken, at least as far as this run-the-table, best o-line, best d-line etc (best kicker for sure) and again imo boston college got the fragmented brought down to earth noles whereas tech got the dominant minded we want revenge etc squad.. go jackets (awesome show as usual)
