I still have an issue with play-calling, especially if we aren’t executing. GT is forcing us to be perfect by anticipating the obvious runs on 1st and 2nd down. Gotta punish that aggression here and there like on that last drive, and maybe mix it up on earlier downs. Great analysis video, I like the realism and the ball knowledge that you guys have, which tends to be lacking on a certain different site/platform.

Great breakdown. The detailed review you guys provide of every play is awesome and greatly appreciated. In reality, we were punched in the mouth. Brent had GT (with less talent) more prepared and tougher than Mikes FSU. Very frustrating! It seems (as many have mentioned) MN is practicing too safe, soft, and "thudding" his players in an effort to prevent injury. Clearly that doesn't work. BK and his OL just walked all over our DL. Absolutely Embarrassing. FSU'S goal line defense is known to be Impenetrable! Mickey Andrews didn't protect his players by practicing "thudding". His defenses were aggressive, nasty and always played thru the end of the whistle. Might be time for MN to rethink how to practice practices. The offense needs to bear shame as well. Poor play calling by Mike. Asking DJU to run RPO like TJ and expecting the same results was (One Flew Over...) crazy. After the first couple of drives, the FSU offense became flat, vanilla and predictable. GT's DL was tougher (ref the need to practice harder) in the end and shut down our running game. Plus, Mike never really opened up the passing game. DJU wasn't able to threaten GT down the field. MN and staff were weak and out coached on both sides of the field. Hold on, one huge bright spot.......Ryan Fitzgerald kicking 52 and 59 yd field goals!!!!!!! What a Stud.

Also can someone ask Fuller about trying to turn corners into safety’s in one offseason it hasn’t worked they don’t have the eyes and usually don’t have the physicality or understand run fits . Brown was a cast off from Miami and UCF and he’s starting here. Knowles anyone with a brain knew that was a bad move last year. Play the young safety’s that you recruited and coach them up better.

It's frustrating, either the coaches are failing the players or the players just don't get the schemes being taught...but how does Georgia Tech bring in Transfer Tight Ends who know where and how to block in one off-season, but our TE's and OL who have been with the program for multiple years, still seemed to have no idea what hole to fill on a run block? It's like the coaching staff has taught our players to be NPC's and when they have to compute where to block based off the opposing defense, their brains get scrambled.

There was honestly so many bad things but especially from Graham, Byers, and the entire D line. MJJ and Payton were absolute no shows. Farmer getting absolutely blown out of his gaps on double teams and Graham couldnt find the right hole to save his life. Byers is awful in Pass pro. D line has 0 moves and 0 block shedding ability. Our o line couldnt move anyone and GT just trashed us when we pulled. Lundy cannot guard man to man. Toe, Kam, Jahki, Fitz, Brown and Blake were the only good players. The fundamentals are bad which is concerning. Just awful awful technique from the trenches. Lotta people gonna hate on DJU, it wasnt great but he might be like 6th or 7th down in terms of things that went wrong.

I do think some of the play calling deserves criticism. Just crazy predictable on early downs. Watch GT's backers and safeties first steps. Always downhill. We cant run any RPO or quick pass game stuff? Middle of the field wide open. For example the OZ run on 2nd and 7 in the 4th into a 9 man box. If that is a RPO with slants you are talking house call. There is nobody back there. And GT is selling out for a run. They never believed you would throw over their head.

It seems like, even from the very start, GATech showed zero respect for FSU's passing attack, and FSU couldn't do anything to earn that respect back. The entire team: coaches, players, everyone had their heads up their arses. Did they all get drunk the night before? Why was everyone saying that the team looked great only for THIS to show up? Sorry, it's just that we should have won this game. Honestly it's a lot like the 2015 GT game. Absolutely embarrassing, but I'd say the 2015 defense was leagues better than this one.

I enjoyed this film review as much as it is possible to enjoy watching this again. To me watching the defense it seems to me like some of the players like 18 maybe just don't really know what they are supposed to do almost like they have to think about what their job is rather than just know what to do and doing it without hesitation. I don't know enough about what the offense is supposed to be doing to know if they did the same thing but I think CoachAB pointed out at one point that they are too much in a rush at least in their run blocking. I suppose that might indicate that they are unsure as to what to their job is and are trying to do too much. I hope whatever the issue is is fixable and I still have faith in the staff to fix it but this didn't look good effort wise.

Offense line was terrible defensive line terrible quarterback did only what the defense allowed him to do. Your problem wasn’t quarterback. Your problem was your defensive line your defense secondary linebackers. They were all out of place.

You can't pass only on predictable pass plays....3rd and long for example. You need to pass on 1st downs (the opened up the game with a pass play that went for 11 yards), 2nd and short, etc. Way too conservative...way too "playing scared". The play calling doomed FSU...

This game gave me Wake Forest 2022 vibes, Defense couldn't get a stop, offense scored on first drive and did nothing after only scoring 21 against a bad Wake defense that year. Mind you this was with Jordan Travis at QB so maybe it's not on the players, it's hands down coaching. Their job is to get talent on your roster, develop it, and put them in position to be successful. This hasn't really been done, most of our better players the last 5 years have been transfers. Maybe it's time to start giving younger guys opportunities then relying on transfers to come in and make an immediate difference. Could you imagine if Keon didn't come to FSU in June last year? How bad would the offense have looked last year? Have we developed a WR in house? Same for LB, other than Kalen D its been pretty slim in those departments. All in all this is a 5 star program or was and there is nothing wrong with losing, it happens but losing like that is and will always be unacceptable!

Completion percentage don't mean shit so what he had a 70% completion he could have threw 5 passes and made 3 that's 70%

At 20:48, why would you not have LT in the game and running that play? I understand Kam Davis is gonna be a player for you and i feel like he didnt play bad but the substitutions in this game drove me crazy. Get a decent lead and then sub some guys but not while the game is a one point lead and this early on. That goes for both sides of the ball. This game reminded me of 2021 Jacksonville state when they had jordan travis and Mckenzie Milton both in the game at the same time. Save the gimmicks for garbage time. If they dont clean this thing up by week one they are in trouble and it will be a long year. And get jaylen lucas more touches. That kid has a spark in him.

Benson not blocking… shocker. He hasn’t done anything 1 or 21 hasn’t done in college so if he can’t block sit his ass down. That’s piss poor.

DJ has to trust himself to be able to throw the ball on drop back on first downs. Linebackers are very inexperienced and playing like robots. They’re playing the ideal scenario in practice, but it’s not translating into real game reads

I don’t think it was a matter of WR not getting open. They didn’t really get many opportunities.

Team looked like it wasn’t coached on both sides of the ball. Fundamentals were horrible along with personal decisions. Just flat out coached. Fullers defense looked like he was the 1 st year coach and not GT Zantuchi who showed how the 4-2-5 should be coordinated with lesser talent and a horrible run defense last year.
