Janarius Robinson intrigues me the most at DE behind the top 3. Former 4th round pick who had his career derailed by offseason injuries. Finally healthy last year and flashed a little in limited snaps. Can't wait to see how he does in camp and possibly the preseason.

Great video, thanks Sanjit T. I think what Wilkins does is gives us a chance to move him to 3tech with Jenkins at NT against run heavy teams and then back to NT with Butler at 3tech against the pass. A natural rotation is going to emerge if the Raiders deploy that tactic. So really we need just one DT and one Edge player to step up this year.

This year Raiders defense line can't be compared to the 1986 D-Line with Howie Long, Greg Townsend, Bill Pickle, Sean Jones, Mike Wise, Mitch Willis, and Elvis Franks. That line sacked the opposing Quarterback 63 times. And in 1967, the Oakland raiders defense line sacked the opposing Quarterbacks 67 times. The 1967 Oakland Raiders D-Line with the Great- Ben Davidson, Ike Lassiter, Dan Birdwell, and Tom Keating, This year 2024 the D-Line group will be lucky if it reach 40 sacks. That number is very kind to this group of D-Linemen. But my favorite is 1976 Oakland D-Line with Otis Sistrunk, , Dave Rowe, and John Matuszak. The 1976 Oakland Raiders D-Line holds the record ( my ) the tallest D-Line played in the Super Bowl XI. Sistrunk 6'6", Rowe 6'7", Matuszak 6'8", Charles Philyaw 6'9", and Ted Hendricks 6'7". No teams in the NFL SB history have these tall buildings. Fran Tarkenton 6 ft had a very difficult time trying to throw over these Raiders mountains. My 2 cents.

Koonce needs to be kept. AP values Dline so I can see us keeping Koonce on a long term deal. Also Matthew and Byron Young needs to take leaps. Those are the two I’m hoping stay healthy so I can see them during pre season they need snaps

Everybody thought Alabama had recruited a real stud in Byron Young. He received praise as a Freshman and Tide Nation was very happy to have him, but we had a terrible DC who screwed him up and other defensive linemen as well. That DC going to Ole Miss was a happy day for Bama fans. Please give this player some time to work through the bad coaching he got and develop.

He's already better against the run then either of those guys and has more bend and explosiveness. Once he improved against the run he set himself up for a huge 2nd contract and I don't think we'll be able to afford him but I hope i'm wrong. He does seem to love it here and maybe he gives us a home town discount.
