Well, that went well... It seems I underestimated your skills... My take on Sparta was a bit more tragic, because Phrygia, Macedon, Thrace and Egypt formed a big pact, and Phrygia snatched about 5000 minions/vassals over in anatolia and used them to hammer me into oblivion as soon as possible. Also, the lack of people for office problem hit you quite late, my Bosporan Mess try hit that wall not even 50 years in, only solution I've found so far is ancient feminism, as weird and out of place as it seems, at least I have people doing research. Also, also, the way tech works is THE most broken thing, my try at Sparta didn't do good, but my Bosporan Mess got to tech 14 across the board before 550, while the most advanced country was Thrace with a whopping 7.

Actually having 7 techs above doesn't give the same superiority effect as in EUIV for example. Every millitary tech give you +0.1 moral while you already have 3.0 on the start, so 3.7vs4.4 doesn't make you all-breaking-goddamn-boss. Most of boosts you'll getting from the inventions, break of manna can't be done as easily as tech breaking.

@@MrVladko0 True, but have you seen where Bosporan Kingdom is? It's in crimea. Yes, Thrace had 7, I had 14, but most everyone else around me had 0, only 2 other greek minors with 3s and 2s, and the way the game flies with tech, I'd probably hit nuclear fusion before they could discover the wheel. Also, tech works against tribals, and Bosporan Kingdom is mostly tribal, tribals don't like nuclear fusion, so a two-edged sword.

@@kaballfs I've tested it, it's work for first 50-100 years, later difference between you and most of others will be nearby 5 or lower. Not 14. It's funny, but without civ points it doesn't give you nuclear fusion, only opportunity to build the nucler fusion, as I said before. There is also 'alternative cost' of such way of early game. I'll try to explain what I mean. In the early game it may give you profit to rush on every enemy you have good opportunity to rush on and annex him or something like this. It's not can be combinate with teching perfectly because to make claims you need ora-ora manna. And to promote citizens to. So there is choice - trying to tech to get (for example) quality army or rush and get enough freeman and slaves to get quantity army. I think that in one party second way can be better than first, in other not.

@@MrVladko0 True enough, I've been using blitzkrieg in every single try I've done so far, and it is the most efficient, have to agree to that. What I'm saying about tech being broken is that you CAN get to tech 20 50~100 years before anyone else, even faster if you get an event that gives you a character with 18 or even more military. My latest Sparta try got that guy, I'm sitting at military tech 19 now and it's 562, every other tech is at 15, while the most advanced nation is a french cannibal at 12 across the board with a celtic tribe closing in at 11, Rome is sitting at 8s and 9s, and almost every nation in crimea, anatolia and east, except Phrygia, are at 1s, 2s and 3s. So, yeah, I'm 18 military techs above my direct enemies, so long as I keep snatching land from uncultured tribals, I can easily snowball to a point I can defeat Rome and the french cannibal without breaking a sweat.
