@@MarissaTheMusenope, had it since new and plan on keeping it forever honestly. Only opened the engine up once around 16k miles. These Yamahas are tanks. Definitely will get your money out of one whether it’s used or brand new off the lot. I’d aim for 2012+ to take advantage of the FI and tuning capabilities to suit your style of riding.

id like a super moto, but i grew up on dirt bikes ON DIRT with dirt tires. lol out in the woods is awesome but ive seen many videos of converted dirt bikes and they can seriously lean in the corners! lol

I started on a CR80 back in 1995, upgraded to CR125 in 2000. They’re so much fun. We had a track that we built with a Bobcat. They’re so much different than street bikes though. The seating position is a LOT more relaxed and upright than a supersport. IMO dirt bikes were easier to ride. Maybe because that’s what I started on, but when I got my ZX10R I was so nervous because I was practically lying on my stomach lol

Have you considered on/off road tires? I switched to shinko 705 this summer for my supermoto and I absolutely love them! The stick to road amazing and do fairly good in dirt also! Plus they look MEAN on a supermoto IMO!

A guy I was riding with yesterday gave me a good tips for circles, if you're going left, turn the bars to the right. Idk why but it helps

Chain drive is on the left...that might have affect

It’s because you’re needing to lean the bike left but not really lean your body weight left so turning the bars right kinda helps keep your body up top and just lean the bike. But it only helps if you’ve dipped into the groove of the circle. If you haven’t let the bike fall over yet you turn the bars left and can lean into it a little until you dip into it and then just let the bike lean

Bike looks good 👍 I usually check my spokes on both my dirt bikes about every other ride but thats me haha but they can start to loosen up over the life of the wheel😊 but if you have them where they should be then tap on each spoke with the wrench it makes a different sound when they are loose and thats an easy way to tell if they moved on you👍 we finally got caught up on older content👌

45 mph on dirt is reasonably fast. Nothing short of having 4 wheels can stop on loose ground. I sometimes ride a little xr80 through my property simply because it is fun as hell, plenty fast for tight spots, and light. It pulls me around easy and Im 6'1 @ 180 lbs

gearing is even lower once you go to the supermoto tires so you really need to get a smaller rear sprocket if your going to high much and its just nicer to ride

I have a 06 wr450 that im still running stock wheels on and I ended up dropping 5 teeth off the rear sprocket before i got it where i wanted it because stock gearing is soooo short on these bikes. Even with the gearing change it still pulls like a beast though 😂
