Having been homeless before. Yes, it may seem strange to see a man sweeping in front of his tent that's in a storm drain. But just because something has really gone sideways in your life and you find yourself living in a tent in a storm drain. That doesn't mean you have to live like a slob, like the others were. The man has enough respect for himself to at least try to keep his living space as clean as it can be in a storm drain. I have more respect for that man than I do the man with a gun. I hope he's able to find a way out of his situation. I was able to find my way out of my situation. I now own my home and property out in the East Texas countryside outright. Meaning I don't owe anyone a f'ing thing for it. Hopefully that man will be able to do the same someday. Y'all be safe out there!!
