Alwaya bugged me that they grabbed a bunch of pistols and shotguns, but not a single rifle. One AR and 2 spare mags means a lot of zombies not getting back up. Redaction: I forgot the Assault Weapons ban expired while this movie was in production. I still stand by not grabbing a shotgun, however.
@AlexanderSilvarg Жыл бұрын
maybe they chose the guns with less rate of fire - it helps to preserve ammo. AR is a good choice, but it'll waste ammo unless you use it in single-shot mode (if yes - why do you need AR?) Pistols and shotguns, on the other hand, has slow rate of fire, and every shot of it has more chance to give you a frag
@Brainwarts99 Жыл бұрын
@@AlexanderSilvarg you’re not gonna get a fully automatic rifle at a local gun store for one lol, and two an AR or other semi auto rifle is much more precise than a shotgun, not to mention you can carry 200+ rounds with ease rather than a 50 shotgun shells in pockets or on loops
@AlexanderSilvarg Жыл бұрын
@@Brainwarts99 I'd quite agree with you in terms of possibilty of carrying 200+ rounds, but there're some more problems. AR itself is quite heavy weapon, and so are bullets for it. You can take a couple of clips with you, but still they are a heavy burden. If there're a solution - machineguns pistols (MP5, TEK-9 etc) could fit more. Their bullets suit pistol, so they are lighter, and the weapon itself is quite light to carry. You can get more clips with you. Still, their accuracy sucks, but if you chose single-shot fire mode, it may work

I'm not an expert at shotguns but what Ving Rhames' character is carrying is a 12 gauge. I understand that 12 GA slugs are powerful but in a situation like this, don't you think it would be better to shoot a different shot type like Double buck or something with more spread instead of him shooting slugs? I mean Andy's gun shop has all kinds of ammo for shotguns.
@shainshartershwate7421 Жыл бұрын
It would help a little bit if going for head shots because, depending on what distance he's shooting from the spread could take out zombies behind the one he's aiming for if it's a big crowd. But, the spreads you're gonna get out of a non choked home defense shotgun, which he has, have been greatly overplayed by the media and movies. You can get a much better spread of out a hunting shotgun with a open or custom choke as compared to a HD shotgun. Also, the load and brand of buckshot would heavily influence how much spread you'd have anyways. Some buckshot has a flight load which keeps the pellets more together and some don't. There are so many variables when it comes to shotguns but most special defense ammo is gonna have a tight group and crappy mass produced buckshot usually has a bigger spread
@megastack95 Жыл бұрын

The zombies saw how the humans were just waiting for them with guns drawn, so perhaps they were trying to be cautious? Hard to say for sure, but I love that about this movie. kind smart go to gun store in zombies apocalypse
@efrainsoto964 ай бұрын
In a zombie apocalypse, finding a gun store could be a smart move for self-defense and survival. If you're considering this, here are some tips: 1. **Safety First:** Approach the store cautiously. Zombies might be attracted to noise or movement. Ensure the area is secure before entering. 2. **Assess the Situation:** Check for any signs of other survivors or zombies around the store. Look for any recent activity or disturbances. 3. **Gather Supplies:** Besides firearms, the store might have ammunition and other useful supplies. Make sure to grab essentials like extra clips, cleaning kits, and even tactical gear if available. 4. **Be Prepared:** Have a plan for how to quickly exit the store if needed. Know your routes and have a backup plan in case things go sideways. 5. **Stay Quiet and Alert:** Minimize noise and keep a low profile. Zombies are often attracted to sound. Remember, it's also wise to think about the broader strategy for survival, including food, shelter, and establishing a safe base.

This is the closest thing we’ll have to a Left 4 Dead Live Action Film
@efrainsoto964 ай бұрын
It sounds like you're referring to something related to the popular game "Left 4 Dead" and its potential for a live-action adaptation. If you’re looking for films or projects that capture a similar vibe, you might want to check out movies like "28 Days Later," "World War Z," or "Train to Busan." These films feature intense zombie action and survival themes similar to what you'd find in "Left 4 Dead."
@meatface906Ай бұрын
Zombieland was originally supposed to be set in the same universe as L4D, but I think valve backed out of the idea.
@efrainsoto96Ай бұрын
That’s right! When Zombieland was in development, there was an idea to connect it to Left 4 Dead, with references to the special infected and the L4D world scattered throughout the movie. This would have made for a pretty unique crossover, blending Zombieland’s humor and characters with L4D’s chaotic zombie apocalypse. However, Valve eventually backed out, so the L4D references were removed, leaving Zombieland to stand as its own universe. It’s one of those fun “what could have been” scenarios in horror-comedy! Would’ve been cool to see them tackle a Boomer or Witch, right?

Gotta say I love this movie the zombies are creepy and amazing but I always find it weird when they go up the stairs and the zombies come to a stop and just look at them for a bit before resuming their attack idk why but always bothers me

I know probably this is a saturated and recicled take but this movie and Left 4 Dead have the same vibe, the tall cop looks like Coach, The blonde girl reminds me of Zoey, the guy with the brown hair reminds me of Ellis (i forgot the names from the movie)

Slight nitpick why are the zombies legs not immediately turning to dust like Tuckers? I mean when they fall they immediately get back up like nothing.

Tbf, Tucker was already injured (he had a leg injury) and the zombies were shown to ignore pain from pretty much anything.

@@aribounty327that is true however the zombies were still humans once. Their bones would be broken in several places. They'd be falling over because their legs can't support the weight due to the damage sustained.

Never really understood this scene. They take out Andy, save the girl and dog. Get ammo for the guns they have on them, BUT leave a hord of heavy hitting guns sitting on the wall?! Who would pass up grabbing a rifle or another shotgun and plenty of ammo. Anyway, this was the scene that reminded me of the first " Left 4 Dead." One of the coolest Zombie games ever made.

Okay, you KNEW you were coming back down the sewers. You knew you were gonna go back out the same way you came in. Why slide the manhole back over the hole? Not only did you block your escape, but you made enough noise for one of the dead, ergo ALL of the dead, to hear you.

Seriously come on I know the shotgun is good but somebody's got to get like an AK or hk416 , m16 like something like that no?? 💯🤷. The handgun would not be my first choice that would be tucked away in my belt somewhere....

I remember seeing this movie with my dad as a kid, then he let his 7-years-old kid watch a zombie movie, on ther other hand, he didn't see the film as he fell asleep on the sofa, while I was covering myself with a blancket. In fact, it was the first movie in which zombies run as fast as human beings even though you don't believe me.

While I do like this sequence a lot. When I first saw it, it completely took me out of the movie. Those things were swarming all over the street. As soon as they left the manhole, those zombies would have swarmed them in a matter of seconds. I doubt any of them would have made it to the gun store.
