It’s one of my favourites! It was from a small shop that closed but I think the brand is still alive and I’ve totally forgotten - I’ll check when I get home!

Do you know much about the beauty brand Oliveda/Olive Tree People? I’ve heard some from Beautycounter have gone there as well.

I love diving into brands so I have looked into it yes! I know that their skincare has really helped a lot of people especially (from what I see) people who have tricky skin, oily acne prone or hormonally affected skin, and people who have struggled to find skincare that really works. So it seems to be really filling a gap for some people. In terms of ingredients - I don't think it's the worst and I don't think it's the best. They don't have the ingredient safety parameters that Beautycounter and some other brands did/do at all. But no everyone minds that and that's ok! Personally it's not a brand I'm going to use cos from my current understanding it doesn't have the ethics, sustainability and science backed formulation that I want to see. But I'm picky! One other important note is that when people leave a direct sales/MLM company there is basically no way that they can make the same amount of money quickly without joining another one. So while that doesn't make people who joined is dishonest in any sense it's just an important factor for consideration. There were a lot of people "post BC" who were only looking for another direct sales brand. Oliveda offered a new one (its about a year old as an MLM company in the US, having existed in Europe for a long time as a traditional retail brand that's never made it big - which should probably be noted.) And so that's why so many people went there - it was a mix of having skincare people liked but largely to do with the income earning potential. That doesn't then make the brand 'bad' at all. But just a point to see it all in perspective. If we're looking for the best replacement for BC in terms of values, ingredient safety it's not going to be Oliveda. But if people are looking for something to solve skin concerns for tricky skin and are less bothered by some of the BC values being replicated, then it could be a good fit! Hope that helps!
