Lowry: 8 points / 4 assists / 1 steal in 28 mpg while shooting 43/38/83 on fewer attempts. Rozier: 23 points / 7 assists / 1 steal at 35 mpg while shooting 46/36/85 on more attempts. Not liking this trade is insane to me. Heat got an instant upgrade & almost 10 years younger at the point by dumping Lowry and a future 1st. Obviously, Terry won't get as many shots as he did in Charlotte but he should be a LOT more useful in those guard minutes. Btw, Dame is currently averaging 25 points / 7 assists / 1 steal at 35 mpg while shooting 42/35/92 on similar attempts - but he would've cost us Herro, JJJ, several more 1st round picks, and who knows what else.

I don’t understand why there is so much confusion on this trade. The Heat got off an expiring contract from an aging PG, and gave up a future mid 1st draft pick (probably not top 15) for a 20+ ppg hybrid guard. Does it move them up to the top 4? Maybe, but it’s a free for all with the Knicks, Cavs, Pacers, and the Heat for top 4 spot

I think the heat don't care about seedings as long as they get in the dance they will give any team in that east problems. I know its a different year and yesterday's price aint todays price but we all saw what they did in the playoffs last season. This is a solid pickup by the heat the heat at times go into scoring slumps and droughts and Terry rozier can score and get hot he won't keep them in slumps the way they do for long periods of time. Good pickup

There really is no one in the game like Mike Ryan. Obviously because of his closeness to Pat Riley and others within the Heat organization Dan was privy to this trade ahead of time. Using that information Mike orchestrated a perfect bit, foreshadowing the trade in the local hour and setting himself up once again as the heel for a potential Heat playoff run, if they make it deep enough he can even run the babyface-turn again. I think you can tell in his demeanor during the local hour he’s using his genuine disappointment at knowing the trade is already done as fuel for his performance. This is a man who produces content with the best of them.
