If Allen’s arm is capable of throwing the ball that far or further, what did he do that was difficult for him? He wasn’t scrambling or being hit. That’s a practice ball. If he doesn’t put it right there, then there would be a problem. I’m not just taking up for Diggs, I’m speaking for all receivers. People act like it’s so easy to catch a football while you’re running full speed, especially when someone is challenging you for the ball. Throwing a football is not the hard part of being one of the best 32 QBs in the NFL. I would assume everyone in the NFL can throw a football at least 50 yards. It’s reading the defense, making quick decisions, not turning the ball over and scoring TDs. It’s not required that you throw a ball 60 yards. It helps. But it’s not the end all be all.

@LeBatardShow. Islamorada 790 days listener I’m just longing for the old old old show. Yep change is good but too many voices. Dan is a master at getting the newbies to find their voice and launch their careers into stardom but it used to be a natural part of the show not forced. Getting Mina to come out of her shell was organic and honestly heartwarming to watch Stu and Dan see her talent and make her more confident. Now, however, Dan is having to tee things up for all the ‘ talent’ so they get some playing time and earn the paycheck but it’s stiff. Mike is crazy talented but he can’t carry the show like he used too but he still HAS too because the room is full of People yammering and laughing at each others side jokes. Long time listeners always understood the show would blow up one day, it was too good not to. We all get why the show had to-grow and change but it changed into all the other shows. The work load would have been impossible without adding people but ‘our’ show was unique and different and we all felt like we were part of something. Now it’s just bizarro barstool with everyone doing their bit or character. Hollywood has opened a lot of doors for the show , and all the excruciating hours of hard work have paid off…but it feels like the price paid was happiness and joy. Change is good , I’m up in Destin now and have turned many many people onto the show over the years and Several friends went to Miami strictly for Bowl Bar! I will always listen but I miss the show mattering to me.
