this channel definitely gives the best wrx content for one reason. You don't sugar coat everything like all these other KZbinrs and shills. Like you give the good and the bad and that's really why I hope you keep making content! Several of your videos have helped me out with different installs, so thanks a ton for all your hard work man :)

I had a mechanic do my clutch replacement and when I got there it didn’t want to go into any gear but when the car was off it was fine,it’s at Subaru dealership now gotta pay the price. Ordered SB11 extreme for my wrx 2020 and clutch fork

I've got a '16 wrx, and was told by my tuner not to ever launch my car, or ever bang through the gears. Unfortunately, the stock wrx trans is absolute glass. Good luck
@StreetInspired12 жыл бұрын
Trust me I know. That's why I did the STI swap. Not sure why subaru keeps this terrible wrx transmission around. It's been an issue since the creation of the wrx.
@sadsquad81242 жыл бұрын
Yes. I always go straight to the description if I ever wonder what mods someone has on their car. Annoying as hell when people ask the same question in the comments 50 times when the answer was in the description the whole time.

That short clip of the shifting near the end 👌also did you replace the shifter plate too or just the parts in the video?
@StreetInspired12 жыл бұрын
Just the parts In the video. The STI transmission doesn't have a Shifter Plate like the wrx trans had. It's just one rod directly connected to the Shifter. No more shift cables or anything.
@xil3ntkha0s2 жыл бұрын
@@StreetInspired1 nice. Ideal STi would've been current one with a FA motor. I would've bought that instead of a WRX when I did. Motor was the main reason I went with WRX.

Looks like the DarkMatter-X, DM-1 Shifter. Hopefully they can work out the quality issues. Been watching them for a while hoping they’ll put something out there for the WRX drivetrain as they only have the STI drivetrain shifter. Good luck with this man! Also where you at in PA? I have to ask man, your channel has me wanting but worried. If you were me would you trade the car out before putting money in to it for something like a golf r or Corolla GR if it comes out or would you put money in to the wrx? Mines a 20 Limited
@StreetInspired12 жыл бұрын
Golf R makes good power and is a much nicer built car imo as far as oem quality. But they cost quite a bit more. If you want to make 300hp and have a fun capable daily the wrx is a great car. But if you plan to push the limits any car is going to get expensive pretty quick. I did the math and research one time and you can take a wrx from stock to around 700whp reliably for about 20-30k if you do the labor yourself. A lot of people dog on subarus for being "so expensive to built" but if you were to buy a gtr, well you would spend $100k. If you buy a audi rs3/5 or tt you'll spend $60-70k and then another $10-20k to get it to make 700hp. It's really all about the car choice. If you want to fully build something, anything is going to be expensive. It's just mostly a matter of which car looks the best for you, your hp goals, starting cost, and build cost. I would do a little research on each car you're considering and see what makes the most sense. Hopefully this helps. I've questioned myself a lot on this topic which is why I'm replying so much haha
@A_Guy1232 жыл бұрын
@@StreetInspired1 bro I truly appreciate the response. Tbh I don’t want to tune the car at all and just want something stock that’s a bit more quick that can stand it’s ground to Ohio weather lol. I hate dumping money in to cars cause I’ll never see it again and I bought the Subaru thinking it was perfect but with the 20 limited I can’t do shit, not even a head unit lol. I’m stock and heavy and even tuned I’m worried a stock golf r or slightly modded civic would still beat me with 4k of parts and tune for flex
@StreetInspired12 жыл бұрын
@@A_Guy123 In that situation you aren't wrong. The wrx is a pretty slow car stock or stage 1 tune. Atleast in todays world. My car puts down 372whp with about 3k in performance mods and beats most overage cars on the road (for now) and is almost perfect for me. The car is very respectable, Streetable and feels great. You can get a wrx to 350whp with about 2k on flex fuel. However there's cars out there that will make 500hp with 2-3k on flex fuel and still feel completely stock comfort wise. My buddy's old audi s5 was so nice and luxurious and made close to 500whp with just a tune and e85 on a stock car and only costs about 15k more than my car. If you want a raw mechanical feeling car I think the subaru might be worth keeping or a tyle R, or GTI/R. But if you want something a little nicer feeling I think an audi S3/5 or something of that nature might be perfect. A little more expensive but much nicer.
