So Izmir is not included? I was told that older adults is easier to get a 6 month Residence permit. I don’t want to work it Turkey, I’m retired and wanted to live for 6 months, so I want the live in Turkey for 6 months and return to my home in 🇺🇸 USA.
@ThinkTurkey Жыл бұрын
Yes you can do that via purchasing a small property in Turkey. This allows you to live 6 months in Turkey without any hassle.

Does this change the CBI for these restricted areas?
@ThinkTurkey2 жыл бұрын
CBI remains open and unaffected by these restrictions. You can buy anywhere for $400k worth of properties or property and apply for CBI.

Thank you brother. Please could you give an advice by giving a comparison between buying property in Turkiye through a) property agent only vs b) your own lawyer and more directly with the property owner.? Thank you
@ThinkTurkey2 жыл бұрын
Good question. In short get someone who knows their stuff and someone you can trust ideally (basically me :)) to act on behalf of your best interests - whether it’s a lawyer, agent, consultant, etc. Most properties (98%*) are advertised through agents so hard to go directly to owner but we can try in some cases. Does this effect foreigners who want to rent an office in those areas of Istanbul, for the purpose of establishing an LLC?
@ThinkTurkey2 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t prohibit you from renting offices. Only for residency purposes those areas are closed.

Hey there! Unfortunately not any more, unless you plan to hire 5 local hires within the 1st year of your business itself. You have to buy real estate now for min 75k USD to qualify to live in Turkey.

@Darkhorse Cloud it would restart as a new one. Even if you let your permit expire by mistake and had to reapply as a new application they may in most cases deny it. If you want to keep your permit then keep your property as is and renew your permit before it reaches full expiration date.

Hi bro, thanks for the useful info. Have you any idea if RP is still issued to owners of newly established LLC’s? If yes, is in country residency (Turkey) necessary to maintain a valid RP and a bank account?
@ThinkTurkey2 жыл бұрын
Not possible unless you hire 5 locals on your payroll, then you can get a work permit (acts as RP also) for yourself in company name. In country residence not necessary to maintain RP, LLC, or bank account.

Thanks for the information brother ! I will be moving to Istanbul in April 2023 for work. Work permit is being issued by my employer. Does this mean I can rent an apartment in Esenyurt ? I have already spoken with an apartment owner in Esenyurt who has agreed to rent it (With proper rental contract). Will that be fine ? Or will it be a problem when applying for RP/Ikamet ? Thanks.

@ThinkTurkey2 жыл бұрын
😂 Well partly correct, they are filtering the kind of ppl they want. Istanbul has changed a lot in past 5 years and unfortunately not in a good way. I stand behind their decision to do this. Hopefully good will come out of this for the country isA 🙏

Yeah bro, I just feel it's a really bad time to invest in a country like this right now... What other countries do you know that's also doing this?
@ThinkTurkey2 жыл бұрын
@@ibrahimhassan206 bad time to invest? Oh it’s def the opposite. Huge shortage of homes in Turkey, and the demand is incredible, people are flocking to put their money in real estate in Turkey (esp locals and even foreigners). I don’t see it slowing down for the next 5 years. Do you know why they closed residence permits in Istanbul in many areas? Due to too many foreigners coming in and buying property or renting. So now there will be a better balance and foreigners will be more spread out rather than concentrated in certain regions.

Give me your money then buzz off. What a scam. Who would be crazy to invest in a country that changes its law everyday against the interest of investors.
@ThinkTurkey Жыл бұрын
It is in the best interests of the country. Certain regions had to be closed off due to too many foreigners in that region. I agree with their decision. If you don't, then you are free to invest elsewhere ofcourse.
