Bishop strickland called the Pope "the usurper of Peter's throne"...he literally denied the validity of pope Francis as supreme pontiff...he was rightly removed from his office. Anyone who doesn't see anything wrong with what he said needs to seriously think whether they agree with the authority of the church guided by the holy spirit or if they choose the path that Martin luther took many years ago. To deny the papacy of Pope Francis is to deny the authority of the church established by Jesus. Tread carefully, lest you become like Luther.

I can attest that God truely did marvelous & holy things with him in our Diocese. Our "country" Diocese is huge and spreads out way beyond Tyler, TX. Many families moved here from all over US to attend one of our Latin Mass Parishes that he allowed to start. His fingerprints are all around us here & we miss him. One story. On occasions he used to proudly lead Eucharist processions in dowtown Tyler & on some busy street corners. The newspaper would print a story & photo. This man was amazingly proud of his Catholic Faith. Just heard last week a new Bishop has been appointed. Please, please pray he doesn't destroy what Bsp S has begun & built up. We miss him. 😢🙏🙏🙏

But watching the Lord raise him up to “walk with hind’s feet in high places” is like a sports fan watching one of the all-time great athletes. I’m awed. All the while Anthony was reading Bishop Strickland's rebuke of the other bishops I was thinking of my bishop's consecration. It was livestreamed. He shook like a leaf, like an absolute coward facing his own execution right up to the moment he was anointed. Then the shaking stopped abruptly. Those cowards could ask for courage and God would give it to them. They don't ask either because they don't believe, or because they would rather be cowards. As to what sort of man our bishop is? It hasn't been a full year yet so the jury is still out. We do still have our Mass and I have reason to believe he will try every reasonable method to keep it because so many parishes in this diocese still have the TLM. Our pastor seems to have a good opinion of him, so that's a good sign. We shall see.

Bad bishops -- or lazy bishops -- or ruthless worldy cardinals seem to have been a pattern in the worldly part of the Church. Aligning eith worldly powers or trying to grab Worldly powers usually ends badly. Hardly a modern great saint has not had run ins with a worldly bishop. From Padre PIO to children of Fatima to St. Joan of Arc. In her case the worldy ambitious bishops of Paris tried her and burned her at the stake. Meantime even McCarrick and Cupich dont seem to have had much diminuation of power. Wilton Gregory -- thrives -- Burke and Vigano punished. Vigano did the job Benedict XVI gave him and was absolutely hounded by the Varican bank scandal cardinal and then Francis ne Bergolio. Its impossible for consciousness Catholic to ignore the hereticsl elephant in the room. Francis totally aligning with the New World Order monsters.
