Daniel did a good job tonight, and he shut a lot of mouths, myself included because I didn't think he was going to win. So hats off to him. I have no clue what was going on with AJ tonight, because he looked like a total amateur. With that first knock down it was as if he had no idea what the concept of defense was. His hands were almost completely down and his head was fully exposed to get knocked off. Geezus, that was an awful performance. I feel bad for him because he's gonna go through another round of internet bs talking about retirement or him being finished and whatnot. I disagree, there are many big money fights out there for Dubois, & Joshua,s only real option is Fury, & Turkey ala sheik has gone on record as saying that "Wants the Fury/Joshua fight, regardless of if they both lose, & he is calling the shots now, for Dubois there is a possible Wilder, Parker, Chisora, White, itauma ( who is only 19, but is already exceptional), Fury, Clarke or Wardley, & what about Zhiang ?, he is still an avoided fighter.Daniel has proved to everyone who doubted him, that he DOES deserve a seat at the top table, & that he can mix it with the top guys, & he is going to be a very difficult fighter to beat, but there is the potential for him to earn tens of millions, & maybe with the exception of Usyk & maybe Fury, but Daniels main advantage is that he is young, & i can only see him getting better, i feel that his losses have made him the fighter that he has become, also 27 is young for a heavyweight, there is only Itauma at 19 who is younger than him, its just possible that he could just sweep right through the division, big CONGRATULATIONS to him, for giving Joshua the worst one - sided beatdown that he has ever received, i am SOOOOOOO Happy ! !.

100% agree with the analysis. I knew told peoppe they should not underestimate Daniel. His jab was great and multifunctional. He used it defencivly and offencivly to build atacks. Hes defence was tighter as he improved his jab. This is a great way to conserve energy. His fouls were not consequential to the fight and he should avoid them inbthe future. I love how Daniel addressed the defence consistency issue. And how he uses his jab defencivly and offencivly to conserve power and throw heavy punches when he knows theybwould count. Great fight. AJ was not ready for Dany to fight smart because everyone kept repeating he is stupid and will charge AJ with dumb powerpunches. Happybfor Dany. Feel bad for AJ as casual will destroy him now blaming him for loosing to a „nobody” again. Daniel fought a smarter fight. He used his jab defencivly and offencivly to break AJ atacks that he wanted to set up in a way that was energy cost effective and he used it to build his own atacks. Daniel is a young guy and he is working on his style which is great.

AJ never turned up.....I said on the live chat it was like there was an impostor in the ring. Allowing himself to be dominated from the first bell was shocking. He was the far more experienced of the two but you would never have known that. He should have set the tone from the first bell. He never recovered from the knockdown at the end of the first round. A more mature fighter would have slowly fought his way into the contest (like Usyk against Fury) and dominated the 2nd half of the fight. I can't warm to Dubois. If he fights Usyk again, I'll be rooting for Usyk like I was against Fury. If he fights Fury, I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. Parker/Dubois would be a good fight but Parker is hoping to get on the December 21st card. I heard him saying it. I ain't paying to watch any more Joshua fights.

And indeed carried The Heavyweight Division on his shoulders, since he came into the scene! Do not listen to rookies talking about "glass chin"; no human being who stepped out from the scratch to become The Unified Heavyweight Champion, can have a "Glass Chin"! Fighting the likes of Frank Martins, Carlos Takam, Joseph Parker, Vladimir Klistckho, and Alexandre Povetkin ( The White Lion ) can have a glass chin. But we have haters. And it has always been there, since the daybreak of human life on the planet. Even Muhammed Ali, had haters. And he admitted that most of the people in his packed pavilions; actually came there to witness his " Loud mouth 👄 whooped". I have completed my 5- Books biography of "Muhammed Ali- The Greatest", by Obu UDEOZO. The next work I owe boxing is "Anthony Joshua's Laughter". Let him not continue to make that aspiration unsavoury. I have followed boxing on a daily basis for more than 50 years. The promoters always there. It is their Lifeline. And will always have logic for pushing fighters on and on and on, until the boxers get mortally impaired. Like they are doing to one nice man " Victim"; in America, Erroll Spence Jnr. Who is no longer well enough, to continue fighting. Who wasn't even okay to have undertaken the carrier winding combat with Crawford. Promoters will always hang on egging fighters on and on and on; until they get the outcomes of Muhammed Ali and Frank Bruno. I want to use this window to advise Anthony Joshua- that LEGACY"; is a complete package 📦. The day Muhammed Ali was defeated in 1976 by Leon Spinks, the Bill Board adverts across the nation:" Me And Amstel Malta, We Are Champions of The World!" were brought down the next morning! Posterity looks at the total picture. Anthony Joshua has tried for boxing. But Muhammed Ali, said that he knew that his time had come; after knowing what to do to an opponent; his hands fail to follow-through and deliver the punches. Yesterday, was also Anthony Joshua! Against Daniel Dubouis. He does not need to bash or beat himself up, too much, over the outcome. But he must quickly think and act like Mike Tyson, who said that "The Time has come when he will not continue to disgrace Boxing. That he is no longer the animal that he used to be, in his younger days." Very few boxers ever know when best to Quit, like the Great and Wise Lennox Lewis. And eventually Vladimir Klistckho. Even the maverick Flyford Mayweather Jnr, knew when to quit. Versus the blinkered Manny Pacoia, who keeps coming back and getting both demolished and demystified. My friend and brother, Anthony Joshua, a boxer's bequest is the entire package of his outings in the Boxing Ring! We do not desire or deserve another night like the 21st September, 2024 from a rookie who has just hit hard on our minds and memories, the way I felt in 1978, when Larry Holmes retired Muhammed Ali, who had no business fighting with his sparring partner at 38 years of age; after a 2 years of lay-off. I can go on and on. I have followed boxing for more than 50 years. Let Anthony Joshua permit my decision to offer him a Biography tribute, a respectable worthwhile project! Obu UDEOZO

No more rebuilding for AJ, either jump right back at the top level or retire, he looked completely washed up.

Agree ..rebuilding is over.

I noticed the ring announcers said AJ had just arrived to the building right after the co main event.. So, i think Anthony Joshua was overconfident, thinking Daniel Dubois was an easy win.. My question is, what was Joshua doing that caused him to be so late, and did that/could that have affected his performance?

As an Aj fan, he messed up. His guard was low, no pressure, no offense, he was slow. He never gave DDD any reason to backup. DDD deserves the win.

Amazing end to a brilliant night of boxing, Dubois shook up the world. I came so close to placing a bet on Daniel today but talked myself out of it as I wasn't really sure on who'd win, should've just gone with it. 60/1 odds for one bookies new members, should've just put a tenner on that regardless of what I thought. If I bet on someone they lose, if I think someone will win but decide not to bet then they win. Dubois to face the winner of Usyk/Fury 2 in early 2025, maybe a defence of his title before then too, but what next for AJ?

Nothing but retirement. No one should pay to watch him fight again

AJ and Wilder tailor-made for each other been saying it for years they should still fight now is the time. I thought Danny might pull off the upset but in this type of one sided asswhooping? Sheesh. I feel bad for AJ this is a very tough pill to swallow but I think he's humble enough and man enough to take it.
