YALL. I’m hearing more this morning about just how greedy Eli Lilly is getting. Countess of shopping JUST released a video that is a must watch! Apparently now you can only use the savings card 5 times in a calendar year, so after that you pay full price. Crazy!!

It is 5 times a calendar year for those paying 650 and their insurance does not cover it. If you have insurance and it covers Zepbound, it is 25.00 a month. (13 times a year). But who knows, the 25 could go up higher but Lilly said today it is still set at 25.00.

Yes, thank you for saying this. All these other you tube channels are saying how great this is. This whole time I’ve been saying this is so wrong. This company has made a wonderful drug that has helped and will continue to help others. That in itself should not be treated like it’s the next fad. It should be treated like a medication that should be free to everyone who needs it. Shame on Lily and their corporate greed. What’s happening is they are trying to make as much money as possible before these other companies break out their products. People should not stand for this crap. It’s just disappointing, disgusting and selfish. Boy their true colors are coming out! Rise up people we have the power to make change.

Yeah I also wondered why other creators were being so positive and they clapped back at people that didn't agree with their positivity.

This is pure greed on Eli Lilly's part! They are already making an absolute fortune on this medication, but that is not enough for them. The 550$ is hard enough to pay. If they limit the card to 5 per year A LOT of people will just go off the medication. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot on this one!

Lily is increasing the cost to the consumer because of their inability to have kept up to the demand of Tirz. Hopefully, from what I have heard, the compounding companies will be able to continue supplying us. I believe that 503A pharmacies for 90 days, 503B pharmacies for a year after the Tirz has been removed from the shortage list by the F.D.A.

Hi, I picked up the vials 2 weeks ago. 2.5 mg for 4 vials cost me out of pocket $370 Canadian. The 5 mg for a month will be $670. It's steep but will be able to write off on my tax return for the year.

Honestly, it’s not just this. The entire industry is out of control. An out-of-pocket expense for a CGM to monitor blood sugar is close to $450. That’s not even the medication.

I agree with your thoughts about the positive spin of other content creators, I don't see an upside to this even for Medicare patients because compounds are still cheaper. I don't believe this is at all a reflection of Lilly's good will towards helping people, it's yet another level of their greed. Sad, very sad.

Girl your spot on, it's total greed! Also just a FYI my pharmacy told me yesterday that they will not be filling mounjaro and some other drugs in the next month or 2 and neither will Walgreens. Alot of stuff happening with all this greed and he said they are losing money filling it. Also said they predict qbout 1/3 of pharmacy will close in the next year. Walgreens is closing down 600-700 stores alone.

Im understanding this a bit differently. There would only be 5 fills available for the rest of the year. When the six month savings card is renewed 1/1/25, it should says 6 fills with that card. The next six months has a different number, and reset the terms, it doesnt say cumulative savings per person but rather per card.

I am pissed about this change! I had been using the savings card for 550 a month which is already ridiculous & not sustainable long term for me, and most ppl. And now it's $650⁉️ Eli Lilly's greedy asses can go to hell! this was just the push I needed to switch to a compound. I would bet the farm that tons of other people will be doing the same thing which means they will be losing lots of US customers, which is what they deserve for this recent bullshit they pulled‼️

@@balletsing3908 Glad to hear it! I got my compound shipment yesterday from Hallendale pharmacy, thru Emerge platform. It was packaged so good! And had all the supplies I'll need. I still have 2 Zep pens to use before I begin. That gives me time to read thru all the instructions n get a better handle on how to inject from the vial. Tbh I'm nervous but I know I'll get the hang of it.

I’m sorry about those of you have to pay more for your medicine now! But there’s a huge amount of us who have been paying $1100 a month since I began because I am on Medicare and I’m 66 years old. There is no discount or coupon or anything to help us. So there is a large amount of older people who are on fixed incomes and Medicare that this will greatly help. I just wish they made it easier to get the help like being able to go to a pharmacy to get it.

The UK has government funded healthcare (I believe), the drug companies can only charge so much because of that and Americans make up for (basically subsidize) the losses because the people here pay for their healthcare. The other thing is this company is no different than your drug dealer on the corner. They are lower the price of the lower doses to get people hooked on a “lifetime” drug and making them so desperate that they will literally go broke to pay for it because it is just another addiction. I don’t want this to sound like I’m saying the people taking it are at fault or weak…..not what I’m saying at all, especially since I just got approved to start taking it and now because of this news I’m going to NOT take it. They will continue with these absurd price increases until the American people say enough is enough. BTW their stock closed down something like $5 although their stock is over $900 a share. I’m happy for all who have been able to get healthier and change their habits with this medication but the greed on BIG pharma will always win.

That's only for people who downloaded card yesterday. If your pharmacy still has a card you downloaded earlier this year, you can still fill for 550 until end of year

@@gatorNNP Your pharmacy should be able to still process your old card, a lot of them were misinformed/had glitches or didn't process it properly. There are instructions for how to process with the original card. Amazon had to issue refunds to a bunch of people I've heard

It says "to the pharmacist" IDK if it will let me post a Pic but it's coverage code type 03. I am guessing the new card has a different BIN or coverage code type. $100/mo extra for the rest of the year sucks. It would be enough to have me switch pharmacies. This should not be happening to you. I am so sorry!

Thx for the video! What does Lilly expect people to do who need more than 5mg a week. I mean it’s a step in the right direction but it’s kind of a hallow gesture. It’s meant to be used stepwise up to 15mg and they are like “just go ahead and use it in a way that we aren’t even recommending and use 5mg and then stop losing weight even though you are paying $550 a month to lose weight.” C’mon Lilly.

You’d use the savings card for all the other doses, at whatever the savings card rate will be. Just like people do now.

Yes you are able to use the savings card, but there have been changes to that. It’s not as good of a savings, and there is a cap on how many times you can use the card in a year. It’s really sad what’s happening.
