My favorite dexterity game. Can be daunting with all of the available expansions and shot types, but when you think of it more of a sandbox environment, that makes it more digestable. Have started created my own scenarios in the typical RPG tropes; find it a fun way to spin a tale in the same vein as a DnD one-shot. Also, super excited to get this to the table once I get my Wyrmwood modular gaming table, so I don't have to mess with setting up the walls anymore.

How do you feel about the playmats in the game? I like the set up, but hated all the stickers when setting up the game for the first time. But it's a game that surprisingly well recieved with my nieces.

Love the new format. I almost picked up the new 3rd Ed myself a while back. Can't wait to see how u incorporat it into the rpg world.

I opened my box this year finally. I saw all the stickers and immediately closed the box and returned it to the shelf. I didn't have it in me to learn a new set of game rules, do the set up, teach someone else how to play, AND build the game pieces. It's just too much. I don't have that kind of time or energy.

I really like channels that balance old and new games, so even a 2.5 year late review is appreciated. In fact an older game that has stuck around Is great to see reviews for. That aside, if time for a campaign is difficult, I would suggest Catacombs vs Castles. It lets you play a one v one skirmish that is comparable with the materials form catacombs. I got it to play with my (young) daughter and it has been a great gateway for her to enjoy gaming.
