A great example of all this is Edge of Tomorrow. It has both time travell/time loops, insane body armor, AND an alien invasion. However, these three things are connected to ONE thing: the alien invasion. If the time travel was due to something supernatural, the disbelief would have been more difficult to suspend. However, because it's tied in to the aliens, as is the armor, AND we have a character that grounds us in the story/experience the story through, it's a great movie.

@@IndieFilmArmy Thank you Allan, I know you’re focused on the art of story writing but you may be perfect with your experience, to try and tackle the psychology of camera placement/actors blocking WRT story and how one would write that into a script to imply it without being too pushy to the DP/Director into their worlds of expression/expertise.
