I'm surprised that they're closing it, not because I thought it was successful but because I would've thought disney would've kept milking the hotel until no one was booking trips there anymore. Between the cost, the big role play element, and the fact that it was only based on the sequel trilogy, I can't say I'm surprised

The losses must be huge to just pull the plug. Probably cheaper to close it then keep it running

Im genuinely shocked by this as well. I sadly wasn’t able to experience it in person but I’m sad to see it go. RIP Galactic Starcruiser 😭

What the hell im gutted & shocked. 😱 It would of gone the distance but since Covid & now the cost of living crisis worldwide it is why they had to do this but if things change it will return cause it was a money maker.. It didn’t limit it cause it was sold out & people did go back. It’s all to do with the current economic situation & restrictions due to the cost 🎉don’t be shocked if more things close due to the same thing I’m gutted & sad.

Yeah its crazy it was only open a year. Agreed economy didn't help the cause. I had a great time when I went so definitely disappointing to see

It would honestly be a waste to demo the whole thing. A few coats of paint, some retooling for the original, or even prequel trilogy eras, and you could still turn it around. You demo it and it's a total loss. Yeah, you screwed up...but what is more important; pride, or that your company is still going and getting people paid?

personally I wasn't really a fan of galactic star cruiser, its ok if people liked it but it wasn't for me.
