Some farms in the area, but it's very rural with mostly weekend and seasonal cabins... Many lakes in the area.

I grew up spending weekends on Lake Nichols which is the lake that is shaped like a porterhouse steak. Our family cabin was right on the north end of the lake where it looks like it likely developed... Very difficult chasing due to the dense pine forest... Second tornado in the area this year which is wild cuz this is not common for the area... I caught a brief funnel on the cell SW of Duluth near Wrenshall. Weak, but still impressive for the 218.

Duluth itself is actually a massive city area wise. Plus neighboring towns like Hermantown can still be considered as "Duluth" even though it's incorporated as it's own city... Duluth is one of very few places where you can ski the slopes of Spirit Mountain and just a few months later enjoy the beach just a few miles away.

it would be a BIG HELP if Mr. Velocity slowed it down a tad lol. If you stay on the shots of the wall clouds long enough you can see the spin when fast fowarding, it has been a big help in identifying area of spin for me elsewhere. Max is no tornado FLIP no tornado FLIP no tornado FLIP like hes riding the expresso express. Same goes for the weather center printed alerts that i want to read. His movements tend to benefit him more than us lol

I open a stormchaser with a view of the system, or pull up the railcam or traffic cam he’s using, when things get spicy. He flips around because he’s checking data and monitoring unwarned areas and those microsecond flips are _just how fast_ he can assess new information, which is just…bonkers….but also it’s how he has unofficially warned multiple life threatening situations far in advance of NWS.

Why do the storm chasers all chase in the same area? They should all get together and communicate with each other and spread out to different states etc where stores are forecasted. Like today someone could of been up North and someone down south west and east. Max maybe you could get them organized lol. I think you all are great at what you do and I appreciate you all very much thank you.

Cause they get paid for their footage/pictures. So they all go to the place they think will get the best footage. Often times that means convergence on the same spot.
