Where are the new ford escorts for $12,000, new Honda Civic CX hatchback for $13,000, or a new Kia Rio hatchback for $14,000? Practical cars. Realistic vehicles that a person would actually want. High MPG, easy repairs, affordable, inexpensive to insure, nice vehicles.
@markholubetz10 сағат бұрын
Yes these vendors have been eliminating these cars lately so not even options this leaving is spending more like 30-35k as a start
@darrylboone46587 сағат бұрын
They are around. You can buy a bare bones Toyota P/U in Thailand for 14k. The BYD SEAGULL is a fine quality EV that is a hot Chinese export car. You will have to buy in Mexico and smuggle it into the USA past our tariff walls

I have many young friends who have 2-4 kids, I know they can’t afford these new trucks but they bought them any way. Yes, for the first 6 months, they were keeping up with the Jones but they all have to turn them back into the dealers. The problem is, they don’t know how to budget!

Banks cannot sell the cars for less than they have in them because it would be another big loss to them.
@markholubetz13 сағат бұрын
That’s why they tend to hold.

Okay hold for how long? it just doesn’t make sense honesty I think what’s going to happen is that there’s going to be some sore of government help to those holding the most in cars so no one going to lose but us again 😂

When banks agree to finance cars for longer than 60 months (five years) VERY FEW of those cars are NOT going to end up being Repoed!!! They will almost always end of being worth less than what is owed on them.

I live within my means, unlike most people. I stick with economy cars that I can pay for all at once. I don't have to worry about my car being repoed. I got a 2008 Toyota Matrix Xr with about 228,000 miles on it. It runs and drives good. I'm not going to waste money making high interest payments on a depreciating asset.

Imagine a 2023 Q50RS with 13,000 miles for $43,000 plus taxes ... it sold new back then for $63,000 plus tax. Someone lost way over $20,000 in about two years and 13,000 miles driven. Nice car regardless 🙂

I bought a 24 Jetta SEL in march just outside of chicago for $27,300 sticker was $31,800. All my friends said I need awd, suv because chicago winters and my dogs. The dogs fit in the car and I grew up driving FWD in the snow. I like my low payment and $91 a month full coverage state farm. I have a secured government job, but I dont need to be car poor. I wanted a camry but insurance was $150 month and toyota wouldnt budge on price.

Not sure about Canada, but TD Bank's TD Auto Finance in the US, is indirect lending. I had a stealership financing my current vehicle (paid off now) with TD Finance. The stealerships have to apply to TD Finance, I couldn't apply direct.
