Gleyber Torres will probably do better in Detroit. Many players have returned to form or have become more productive upon leaving this Central Park Zoo pressure cooker. Note that I didn't say Bronx Zoo so that I wouldn't be accused of targeting the Bronx Bombers, afterall, the true villains creating this circus-like atmosphere are the NY sports media, by constantly suffocate our athletes in all other sport, not just baseball. For example, they {MSM} ask the most ridiculous questions, then get annoyed when tired athletes push back by refusing to indulge in such nonsense. This is why at times our teams have failed to recruit top talent or have lost solid athletes over the years. That’s also why many players have declined offers to join our teams. Not many athlete can function under such relentless scrutiny, distress & duress from self-serving energy vampires whose only affiliation to our sport teams are their Press Passes. To top it off, Derek Jeter-like players are generational exceptions. I wish Gleyber the best. May he go on to produce at the levels comparable to past accomplishments. And may he finally get to enjoy the rest of his career in more pleasant surroundings.

Just look at a guy like Bogarts? Left Boston and now he’s hitting 8-12 homers in a pitcher friendly parks for 81 games. I dont know what’s gonna happen, obviously, but I don’t think he’ll have an offensive explosion.

I wanted a 1 yr deal on a first baseman (Santana would have been perfect) as a just in case for a slow starting Tork. I've heard rumblings alluding to the fact that Torkelson is hard to coach so maybe that played into this move? Whatever the case, I'm not sure this move makes a ton of sense. I think Keith is capable of as good or better offense and with better defense. I don't think the Tigers are done. There's another move or two before spring training starts. Come on Sasaki!!!
