I like how both of them are kinda right in this conversation. Jesse’s right in the sense that what happened isn’t out of the ordinary given the business they’re in. But Walt is also right with how if they allow this to fly it could give other people ideas to do the same

Walter is 100% right here. The problem is the way he expresses it. He's actually right about a lot of the things he and Jesse discuss throughout the show. But his approach of being condescending and completely disrespectful, instead of speaking from a logical and objective perspective to the only person who has his back, really gives the impression of someone who lacks social skills

I normally disagree with Jesse but he's right here. It's a cost of doing business....the term Jesse is looking for is "shrinkage", which is not unusual in his profession. As usual Walt's greed is his undoing.

Yeah Walt is being kind of a dick but he's 100% right. Kmart can afford breakage because if they get robbed they can call the cops to go looking for the people who did it and liability insurance will probably cover the losses. And the bulk of their customers aren't gonna start robbing them if they hear one guy got away with it. But drug dealers have no recourse as they're criminals. They don't have insurance to cover any losses and their customers are already breaking the law and might be potentially desperate enough to try something like this. All that considered, a drug enterprise absolutely can't afford breakage
