Just got the news of his passing. Rest in Piece Mark, you brought both versions of Hector Salamanca to life in a way no one else could have. From saying nothing and just using his eyes and breath, to having a voice so textured and deliveries so perfect he made simple lines iconic in my memory. I feel for his family, his real family, at this time as I can’t imagine what they are going through. Goodbye Don Tio, la familia es todo.

The way he’s not even a bit worried by Mike reaching for his gun and threatening him… he can tell Mike’s something serious just by trying that, and respects him enough to know that keeping cool is the best move at this point. Just like tuco after Walt blew up his hq.

Interesting to see that hector was really the one Salamanca who was evenly matched with Gus. Lalo was up there too, but 19:29 is a literal analogy of their rivalry.

This show did such an amazing job of showing us why Hector would hate Gus so much as to be willing to die just to take Gus out as well.

9:58 the symbolism of him sitting there with only his right arm for doing business is just so nice.. 👌

@@jeppemadsen2497 It’s foreshadowing of how he’s later only able to move his right arm to ring his bell.
