Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

Met the legend Mr.Crawford himself back in 2018. He came into my old job (Brookstone) to buy some stuff for his son. I ended up selling him a therapeutic massage chair. I didn’t even realize he played Huell since he had lost so much weight! I was like “NO WAY!” He’s such a down to earth guy which added to my obliviousness 😂 from then on every time I watched the BB verse I feel slightly more connected to the world by simply meeting this man.

It just occurred to me that detectives, cops etc could use AI to replicate voices of "false confessions" or falsely generated crime scenes in order to get some people to talk (or they could just use it to frame suspects in order to close cases)

😊 there's something called discovery plus transcripts....
@ChartreuseDan
@ChartreuseDan Ай бұрын
@@jessicaregina1956 Sure, it'll help stop AI being used to generate false evidence for use in court, but people don't receive discovery while they're in police questioning. Police can, always have, do, and will mislead suspects and persons of interest in questioning in the interest of convincing them to say things they wouldn't have otherwise said
@dziewiaty
@dziewiaty 26 күн бұрын
"Your buddy talked" is interrogation tactic as old as police itself. Using AI "evidence" would be impractical because of the amount of samples you have to get to make audio believable. Not to mention how fast the case would be dismissed in case of discovery of the attempt.
@rclipse1985
@rclipse1985 23 күн бұрын
@@dziewiaty Case wouldn't be dismissed so long as it was only shown to the suspect and not submitted as real evidence. The police are allowed to lie to you. The police can, do, and WILL lie to you. Their only role is to get you to say whatever they need you to say for them to lock you up. That being said, yeah, no, you'd need a lot of samples and a LOT of training time to get a generative AI capable of doing that.
@dziewiaty
@dziewiaty 23 күн бұрын
@@rclipse1985 I'm pretty sure there is a lot of difference between lying and forgery of a confession. Also "police can lie" is not some kind of rule. Imagine cop arresting you for no reason just because they are "allowed to lie" and that lie happened to be an arrest warrant. Also cops don't have to submit that as evidence, any competent lawyer would submit it instead.
