One of many gems on his second album of the five albums he recorded from 2000 to 2015. (Last album was released in the first days of January 2016 and his demise was declared on the 10th.)

@SnotRockets55 He has a brilliant voice, so evocative, but it's not 'technically' good and is very distinctive.I can understand why he was uncertain in his early career. I think we can all agree his fears were unfounded though.

Does anyone know if this song is related to his sickness? Or did he write it back in the day? I believe he did have angels w him all his life....writers only know the real truth bout their lyrics...🎵🎶🌃

The idea of the lyrics is from 1970's where Bowie and Pete Townshend from The Who, were stuck waiting for a train that was supposed to leave at 5:15, after the nighlife of London. So, it's not about his own sickness. He used this idea in for this song i 2002. The song shares notions of rootlessness and isolation. ‘5:15 The Angels Have Gone’ finds its narrator stranded in the rain, ticketless, faithless, on a cold station platform, changing towns to escape from a past life and a failed love affair. He explained that,as back those days they had lots of fun together, i.e.with The Who members, he wanted to dedicate this one to The Who’s bass guitarist John Entwistle, who had died two days before.

I wonder why he used to think he didn't have a good voice. That makes no sense to me.
