I think people usually forgets how important was Mick Ronson for David Bowie reaching stardom. He created an amazing sound that was critical for their success and became a trademark of that era. I know David was always thankful for this. RIP Mick Ronson

The whole band were incredible. Trevor Bolder's bass in this track is gargantuan. You only catch a brief glimpse of him in this entire concert film, but he had the best sideburns in the game at the time too.

It took me a little to see that this song is one of the greatest ever. The "presence" on stage of Bowie was tremendous and this solo is simply crazy ... look at the transe people are into !!! just because the intensity of song starts at the first note and ends at the very last, without a drop during 7+ minutes ... For 1973, Ronson easily won the GOLD for the best live performance. For eternity, easily in the top 5!! Ronson was the single biggest force in helping in reviving Bowie's career in the early 70's.

The only reason that human beings evolved on Earth was so that on 3rd July 1973, Mick Ronson would play those glorious sustained notes from 5.13 and then go back into the riff. Not only the greatest moment of Bowie's career, but the very pinnacle of humanity's entire cultural achievement.

i could barely keep myself from crying whilst watching this whole performance in july. absolutely phenomenal. i really hope its possible to restore some more concerts of his because i will surely be there trying to keep my tears in.

Seeing Moonage Daydream and the Ziggy Stardust film in theaters was absolutely incredible, I can’t imagine how amazing it was to actually be there. I wish I was old enough to have had the privilege to see him live, unfortunately I was just about a month old when he did his very last performance😭💔
