With his elegant lightness, Mr. David Bowie sang solitude which became an extraordinary and unforgettable invitation to dance.

OMG, he literally fused his early version of the song idea, which sounded more folk music, and then switched it to Nile's rhythm style! What a treat to hear both versions in one arrangement!

He just embraced every era and never lagged. I've watched everything from the 60's to 2000's and he always looked up to date and new, never like an old rocker living in the past.

Have you ever seen another star just stand, feet apart, clap his hands, and owns the stage just like that? Play that image in just silhoutte and it's unmistakable it can only be the Duke. It's a simple swag but somehow nobody else pulls it off!

I would have paid a FORTUNE to be at this gig. It's far from being my favourite song by him but God, what a performance. Bowie is dazzling. I sometimes wonder if he's even human. It will take millions of light years for the Universe to ever get to see again a semi-god like Bowie.

what a fb version os this song. He was so relaxed when he was performing and had a brilliant relationship with his band. My heart is still broken. He is the first artist who died that affected me like this. He was so sexy when he sang and his smile just melts your heart .I love thr way his band played at the end. Amazing musicians particularly Earl Slick who is so cool but an amzing musician. Love Gail , Gerry and Mike also but Earl is so cool he stands out. xxxDavid
@shortallliam31424 жыл бұрын
Hi Jackie, you are so right when you say that he had a great relationship with his band; all of them are so so relaxed, the harmony is so natural. Most likely he was an easy guy work with, unlike some famous artists, namely Richie Blackmore..

I remember one time riding in an elevator in an office building with my dad. A muzak version of a Beatles song came on - and it actually sounded pretty good. My dad looked at me and said, "You know how you can tell if a song is any good? You can perform it in any different style and it will always sound like it was made for that style." Bowie is a genius - and this is an excellent tune!
