Breaks For Romantics (Part 1)// No matter how old we are, we will always be such romantics and there's nothing nicer than staying at a beautiful place to unwind.
When we discovered the Landmark Trust last year and booked our first stay in Yorkshire (Culloden Tower in Richmond), we were hooked. The Landmark Trust has the most amazing cottages, castles and follies throughout the UK for the most unforgettable experience be it just for a couple of days or a longer break. This time we stayed at Maesyronnen Chapel near Hay-on-Wye in Wales and it was the most charming and romantic cottage.

The fire, the beams ,the sheep and the quiet..all winners. I'm reminded of staying in a home on Flinders Island Tasmania and hearing the sheep bleating near our fence..it was a working farm. Thank you for posting this. My great granny Annie Lewis was the caretaker of Maesyronnen Chapel for many decades, and raised her 15 kids there. Can you imagine in that small place? It was nice to take the tour again.

You certainly make yourselves feel at home when you visit these properties. I thought we’d almost certainly have gone to a pub for dinner and sat by there fire when you were so cosy tucked up in your lovely cottage. Do you take your own home wares with you when you go away? Everything always looks so beautiful I feel you must. Your make up looked lovely on the introduction. It’s always nice but the colouring on this video was beautiful with your lighter red hair. Short stays are just the ticket for us. Have you ever been down to my neck of the woods? Hinton St George, Dowlish Wake, Crewkerne, Ilminster? It’s very pretty and of course, we have the Jurassic Coast nearby, which I know you love! But, if I met you in the street I’d be totally Starstruck!! 😂 x

Lovely! Any roses around there in the Spring and Summer? I spent summers at my late grandmother's house which was built in 1776 so I love any old houses! I hope in future videos you show more of the British foods you eat for breakfast and what you have for teas and dinner. I'm looking forward to making Cornish pasties this fall/winter 2019.
