Breaks For Romantics (Part 2)// I'm back with Part 2 of our romantic break at Maesyronnen Chapel. It makes me so excited to stay with the Landmark Trust again next week. I hope you liked the videos. During our stay we visited Croft Castle in Herefordshire which was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. On our way home we paid a visit to Tintern Abbey, a Cistercian Abbey founded in the 12th century and which is absolutely amazing.X

I get such joy from seeing your videos. Funny you said you love simple Christmas decorations. I remember as a kid when we migrated to the US in my Mom and I used to make paper chains for Christmas decorations. So beautiful . I just love you’re husband such great personality .

One time many years ago I visited Arundell Castle and I was the first person there after they opened. For about the first hour I was the only one there-even the people who worked there weren’t at their posts yet. It was wonderful. I roamed the place totally on my own, imagining what it was like centuries ago. Your visit to the Abbey made me think of that. Happy memories!

The Abbey is beautiful !! I'm from the USA and 76 years. Your video gave me an idea for a Christmas project with my 3 out o 4 (one is 2 weeks old) great-grand-children. I liked the round circle of sheet music with the Christmas ball sitting on top and the folded trees on a stick. We made the paper chains when I was little. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks!

Kirsten, I have been meaning to share with you.... I don't know if you have heard of an English author, Elizabeth Goudge. Just like you make youtube videos, Elizabeth used to describe places in great detail in her books, including the history of these places. Actually, that's how I found you because of her love for Devon, where she lived for about 12 years. Hence, your little pink cottage in Devon. Anyway, your visit to the Tintern Abbey in this video made me think of one of my favorite books by Elizabeth Goudge, a fictional novel, "The Scent of Water" which is about a town set on what used to be a monastery. I also loved "The Dean's Watch" and, of course, her autobiography, "The Joy of Snow" in which she focuses on the happy times in her life and/or those with happy endings. Thank you.

Jörg is handsome! Lucky girl with such a caring husband. And this abbey is so nice but unfortunately another ruin. And Irmis so big like the one in Glastonbury - although I like Chinchcolm Abbey on the island outside Edinburgh in the Firth of Forth more. Even if the Chinchcolm Abbey is smaller and more busy due to the hop on hop off ship tours landing there.
