Breakthrough Junior Challenge 2021 | CRISPR Technology [CC]

CRISPR has become both one of the most powerful and controversial methods of gene editing during the 21st century. As we cross this new frontier, it is imperative that the technology is understood by those who will be affected by it.
My decision to focus on CRISPR was made in light of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, awarded to Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudna “for the development of a method for genome editing" (CRISPR).
