I had seen some videos with Vijay Prashad and he's so calm and "academic" so this is actually a pleasant surprise to see him so animated and cynical. I think based on his immense knowledge and having seen the selfishness, arrogance, and betrayal of the US in the last year have made him boil over. About what?? Of not giving away billions of Covid vaccines worth billions of dollars, for free to LDC's, when all so called developed nations were hoarding it for prices to skyrocket and then sell them. It is you guys who need to understand, as you would be surprised that on contrary to western predictors, India will loose the most in the world, but when you saw India fighting to save its people and people in countries other than India, Biden put a ban on the raw material required for vaccine production, on the pressure from Western Pharma giants, you received a heavy backlash and you had to remove the ban. Then during next wave US was short of hydroxychloroquine, you came to us and it was India who made sure you must get the quantity you require and then US as a society has no right to take high ground.
