That was so helpful! I have had those types of biopsies before. I swear the instrument used looked & sounded like a power drill. They placed titanium clips at the biopsy sites so during every subsequent mammogram they can see where (in my case they were just cysts) were removed. I love knowing a bit about what was going on after the biopsy! Thanks!!

Yes, tomorrow’s video will actually show the excisional biopsy/lumpectomy process with the little metal clips and how we cut in the case.

Awesome! I worked in pathology for a short time. I knew how most of this worked but I didn’t really get to see the microscopic part and how it was diagnosed. I worked as a secretary type part of the job but I was mostly signing slides/blocks in and out plus sending them for second opinions or to other hospitals where the patient was going to be treated. I was more interested in what was happening in the gross room. I didn’t want to go back to school, fascinating though. I love learning!
