Oh man love these videos with your sweet little Ben. I have a 10 month old and 5 year old and we had similar newborn days. Contact naps and breastfeeding around the clock. They go so fast! I’m 10 months into breastfeeding my 2nd and not all clogs will turn into mastitis if you get them out quick enough!

I had clogged milk ducts all the time with my baby. I started taking sunflower lecithin to help with it. It supposed to help with the milk flow and prevent clogged milk ducts. It definitely helped a lot. You can also use cold cabbage leaves In Your bra but don’t leave them in for too long, or do it too often because it can mess up your supply

Hello! I'm a lactation consultant and what can I tell you that can help it is using manual pump or using your hand and offering your baby nurse as much as he wants, pumping it good but right now your body is creating so much milk and you can over produce and have mastitis as well, just take out the milk til' you feel relief, not to empty the breast for what I said early, hope you're feeling better momma, remember you're doing it amazing!🤱🏻🫶🏼

You’re doing amazing! Breastfeeding on demand and contact napping is best for baby and mama- but it can be exhausting. I keep sunflower lecithin on hand when I start to feel clogged- focus on drinking extra water and not wearing anything tight or just being topless for part of the day and trying to get baby to nurse extra. When it feels really bad and more than just a clogged duct I do a “nurse in” where I stay in bed topless and cuddle my babe all day and focus on nursing nonstop, hydration and do cabbage leaf between nursing sessions. Hot showers and baths help too! Keep up the good work!

Hey Gorgeous Momma. I am going to try the patches.. So cool. I need all the energy I can get..Thank you so much for sharing.. aww Ben is growing so fast. I'm so glad that your feeling better now..I breastfed all 5 of mine. I got lucky I guess, I never got Mastitis. My Daughter just had it and her lactation consultant told her that baby wearing a ton like she does, can definitely cause clogged ducts and also wearing her Bra to tight. Hopefully you won't have to deal with that anymore. Take care and I will see you in the next one. Much Love From Indiana.

i had clogged milk ducts and a manual pump was the only thing that was able to unclog me. My spectra and Elvie wasn't able to get the lump out. i also noticed I would get clogged when I would wear my baby because i wrapped her tightly to me so that could be another reason why that's happening. I'm 7 months pp now and still breastfeeding and I don't get clogged anymore so there's light at the end of the tunnel :)
@CaitlynNeier

For clogged ducts try dangle feeding. As a prophylaxis supplement with lecithin. Helped me a ton. Never got mastitis but had clogged ducts a lot from over supply. Also, probably not going to want to hear this...but if Ty has sleeping issues he should wean off the energy drinks. I know that's common sense, but I swear (as someone that drank 1 Monster a day pre kids) limiting caffeine will help.

At the risk of sounding raunchy… TY! Have Ty act as though he’s feeding. Yes, it’s weird for him too, but it works. That or a very long, warm shower. Wash your hair, massage the left side and just have some you time.

Whenever I had a clogged duct, I would do a drag massage from the outside toward the nipple pretty hard (think like a physical therapy session type of hard) and collect that milk (because girl it'll spray everywhere) and it's actually nice that you get something for your freezer stash too ;) taking a hot shower beforehand was also really nice then massage after :) good luck!

I just had my 3rd baby, 1st time successfully breastfeeding! I only lasted a couple months with my 1st 2 girls. It can be hard, but I've discovered constantly nursing & keeping passys & bottles away make a huge difference and make it all so much easier!! The nursing gets most difficult during mental leaps but without a passy & a bottle there is no confusion for mom for why baby is being difficult on the breast! You should try "boob tubes"! They helped me so much when I got engorged, you can heat them or freeze them! The massages help a lot too 😊 I found jiggling them around a bit helps too as weird as that sounds 🤣🤣 but anyways, baby ben is beautiful❤ happy holidays!!🎄

Clogged ducts don’t necessarily turn into mastitis. This has happened to me twice (in my right armpit both times) but I just massaged the lump while the baby was nursing and it was gone within 24 hours both times. Have you had any issues with Ben not pooping? My baby girl turned 1 month old on Saturday and she hasn’t had a bowel movement in 10 days! I’m afraid of the diaper blowout that’s on the way. Lol. Pediatrician said it’s fine as long as she doesn’t seem uncomfortable, but we can give her an ounce of apple juice if we want to. Apparently this is pretty common with breastfed babies, because they use the breast milk so efficiently. There isn’t much left over. I feel like 10 days is a really long time though.
@CaitlynNeier
@CaitlynNeier Жыл бұрын
Thank you! And ugh the armpit stuff is the worst hahah. And no issues with that. I feel like we have an obsessive smoking of dirty diapers lol. But I do know it’s common for them to go long periods of time! Hoping for some relief for your babe soon 🤍🤍🙏🏻🙏🏻

You’ll know when it’s mastitis because you’ll get like a red rash around the infected area and you feel achy everywhere. I breastfed my daughter for 2 1/2 years and got it twice. It sucks but you get through it. I bought a boob massager that helped and, in the beginning of BF, I nursed or pumped every two hours around the clock-even at night. I think that’s why I didn’t get it as much as some women I know.

I had mastitis. I would actually go to the car and blast the AC every morning to make my fever go down, then go to work. Needless to say, I had a terrible experience. Another issue is tongue tie. If he is cluster feeding, this might be the issue. I had no idea that feeding all the time was abnormal. I would feed him for hours.

Actually feeding all the time is normal. It was awful snd I had to call leche cuz my daughter was eating so often I only had 20 min between feeds. It was crazy. By 4 months we were at an hour in between and 6 months an hour and a half and now at 9 months 2-3 hours. I only make 3-4 ounces at a time so maybe that’s why she had to eat so often.
