Breastmilk cold process soap small test batch soap making 1lb. Recipe Mother’s milk

In this video I make a one pound test batch of breastmilk soap. This is a cold process video on how to make breast milk soap. 1 pound of soap is just enough for a beginner or making a small batch to start out. I wanted to keep a classic white look for the soap design. Simple and elegant since it is made with real mother's milk. If you ever wondered what can I do with my extra breastmilk here is an idea. I used some of my extra frozen milk to make soap with lye. So if you want to know how to make breastmilk soap I will show you the way.
THE RECIPE
1 LB BREASTMILK SOAP
4.4 - OZ OLIVE OIL
2.75 - OZ COCONUT OIL
2.75 - OZ PALM OIL
1.1 - OZ SWEET ALMOND OIL
1.54 - OZ OF LYE
SOAP AT OR UNDER 110 DEGRESS F

Technically it should be safe to use after 4-6 weeks. I let mine cure a little longer so the bar of soap is really hard and lasts longer.

i really like your videos, i was trying say earlier that i have extra breast milk and made shea butter melt and pour soap but my soap so soft, it only lasts for 2 baths

Yeah. Some melt and pour won’t last as long and I found it mold to grow in mp soap. I have another video on my channel about that. Cp soap will last much longer but I would recommend letting it cure for about 2 months before using it.

Can you use different oils or not as many different oils?

Most well balanced soap recipes will have 3-6 oils. If you sub anything out you need to run it through the soap calculator. You might also look at Castile soap recipes. They use all olive oil…. However they take about a year to cure.

I wasn’t able to breastfeed for long. How do I go about getting breastmilk to start making breastmilk soaps?

You can look to see if anyone donates milk locally or any person you know that would be breastfeeding. Also, I do not sell any soap with breast milk added. I am not sure what laws and regulations are around doing that.

I have a lot of frozen breast milk in bags, about 4 - 6 oz per bag , can use the whole bag at once or should I let it thaw and refreeze it in ice cubes ?

You can weigh it on the scale frozen or thawed. You need to measure by weight not volume.

No I do not sell it because human milk is kind of controversial to sell. I am also not sure all the laws on if it’s ok to sell.
