Many people don't know this is clearly a mantra to Nārāyaṇa , the voice says ohm navah Nārāyaṇa the indu divinity protector of world . All the game is full of reference to buddhism and induism , the other fou lu theme warring god is a pray to hanuman god of war . This game is really a piece of art

The chanting does sound a lot like that, but there's a sharp 'd' or 't' sound too - 'tyrant'? Would fit, as the dragon form is called that.

i dunno why but the bof 4 music is just unique in game history o.o Every time i hear the music again I totally gettin flashbacks. All the music in the game. It somehow gives you the impression of a foggy strange other dimension. Total unusual rhythms and melodies, unusual ABC patterns. Like from another star :). One of the few game music that is same insane like some FF masterpieces.

I could never beat Tyrant, level 50 and still unable to deal enough damage.

Shadow Zylo Once you get the gist, Tyrant and Astral falls like flies. Tyrant: Make Ryu have Master Rwolf's Will and open with Holy Cicle, them use Usrsula or Ershin's Inferno plus someone with high wis stat like Nina to use Flame Pillar. Just spam fire attacks and they go down like nothing, since Fou-Lu is weak against Fire.

+Zero The Bloodedge I've played this game through 3 times, and every time I've taken down fou lu using only Ryu. Usually I train him way higher than the others so they all die in a couple of turns and then Ryu claims his true form entirely by himself. :D Generally had Ryu at a higher level than Fou-lu at that point. That of course makes it ironic when you do the initial fight and have to use Ryu alone and Fou-lu asks how long you think you can keep it up, to which my answer is well, I'm doing more damage than you and I'm higher level.

Man, this fight. I think I used used every single item and skill I had to win. From Wisdom Fruits to spamming the Super Combo. I could only get up to 15 hits max anyway; the button combinations would troll me hard and would make me tap the circle or triangle button twice. Characters were at level 49 beating this guy. I spent most of my time upgrading my dragons though so they could be stronger. -still were hardly a match for badass Fou-Lu though-

That's the weird thing. The last villain isn't even a villain in this game. He seems like kind of an asshole, but he never actually does anything seriously bad over the course of the story. He's just hunted like an animal over the course of the story, and then is twisted into madness by the carronade. Oh god, and the way they make the ammunition, the magic shells the cannon uses, is so sick and twisted. I really need to play this game again one of these days, it was *dark* at times.

I remember the first time I face off against this powerful boss and the badass theme kicked in I was like Yeah I in for one hell of a very long boss fight and boys was I right the entire fight 2nd phase included took me an entire hour I was extremely satisfied when I beat both phase love the challenge but boys was it an extremely difficult opponent to defeat

I always figured the series was in chronological order by default due to the Dragon and Wing clans losing their true transformation powers over the eons (evidenced with each incarnation of Ryu and Nina). Aside from that, 4 still has a vast portion of the world covered in desert but society has thrived in it and brought back some technology since Myria's defeat at the end of 3, the cause of the desert/desolation to begin with.

It literally says in the game intro of BoF2 that the game takes place 500 years after the first game. So switch 3 and 2, then your statement would be accurate

I would say it's 4, 1, 2, 3. There is no Woren in 3 except for Rei and I have a theory Rei was created in a lab with Woren DNA there being no more Woren anymore hence why he has that weretiger form. Rei could be a descendant of Ryu + Katt as well.
